I decided to try connecting my phone to my laptop with a USB cable. As soon as i connect it, it flashes up in the corner of the screen that it has found new hardware and stuff. Though when i go to removable disk, it doesnt show up.

If your pc want to recognise your phone, you need to install motorola pc suite in your system. That will be available in the CD that you got with mobile. If you are not having you can download from internet freely from motorola web site. After installing connect your phone to pc through usb cable and open pc suite phone will get recognise.
1st. install your motorola k1 pc suite into your computer.
2nd. download the phone software update from www.motorola.com.
3rd. install the phone software update into your computer.
4th. run the phone software update and connect your cellphone using the usb data cable. do this while you are connected to the internet.
5th. do not disconnect until it is not finished.
yes it is possible.
cause that's what i'm using right now to connect to the internet.
but the easiest way to do this is get Motorola Phone Tools for the Krzr.
cause that does all the technical stuff for you.
but after you get that you will have to switch your phone to "Data Mode".
you can do this by going to settings > connection > usb settings. and then switch the default to "Data Connection".
and after that you should be good.
good luck. :)
i hope you would be having the required software needed to sync the files on your pc to the phone. If not then u will have to ask the vendor of ur phone .Now you have then install the software in your pc. After this connect your phone using the usb cable and let the system detect the phone.
now open your phone as a local disk on your computer .
I assume that the videos will be in the wmv format that means a lot of of memory needed so you better compress them in a format that can be read by your phone before transferring them.
the driver was not installed properly. Motorola has downloadable drivers on their website. check with them for dowload instructions. If you still have trouble you may want to install motorola phone tools. It is synchronization software by motorola. costs about $30
I found the solution, See by default when you plug in your phone. Under the Settings/Connection/USB Settings, It is set to Data Connection, All you have to do is go Change, and select memory card. The computer then reads it as a mass storage device. Problem Sol-ved. =]
