Depending on model, both are green or one green/one orange. that is not your problem, however you really do not give me much to work with. "It does not work". Does chain move? Does motor run? What is you hold wall pushbutton? Give more info.

Hi Vickie,

The safety beam portion of the garage door opener is set up to stop the door from closing if something (car, person, etc,.) is in the doorway.

When the door is open - if you press the hard wired push button (not the wireless remote) the door will either close until shut completely, or begin to close and reverse direction as soon as you let go of the button. When this happens, it *usually* means that a sensor is blocked - and reversing the door motor. If you try yhtis with the remote the door may not move at all or just bump down and stop.

You should re-align the sensors as described in the link below. Good luck!

If your sensors are not pointed at one another the light on one of them will go out. Tweak them a bit. If you cannot get the light to come on then your sensors are bad.

Both lights on our garage door sensors are green (not blinking), but the door will not close with the remote or button in the garage. It does close if you force it by holding down the button in the garage....

If the main light flashes 10 times when the door starts to close and then reverses it is a door sensor problem. Look very closely at the lights on the sensors. If one of them is flickering ever so slightly it will give you the problem you have.

If the main light is not flashing then you need to increase the down force which is near where all those white wires go. A 1/4 turn should do it.

your infrared sensor is either misaligned, faulty, or you have a broken wire from your sensor to your door opener. (Flashing light indicates infrared light path is broken). both sensors should indicate green led. door wil not come down is safty feature to prevent door from closing when light path is broken.
