Error 51A2: System cover has probably been opened

On my SE7320EP2, everytime I boot up it greets me with the "Error (51A2): System cover has probably been opened". The chassis intrusion switch has been totally removed and we have tried to put a jumper on the connection but we still get the error. We have cleared the event logs in the BIOS and it still comes up. Any suggestions besides changing out the motherboard?

Turns out that one of the pins that needed to be jumpered had actually come out and didn't connect correctly, but the firmware update did fix the event log situation and helped overall. Thanks!

I would say you probably need to update the firmware. That should clear any issues you have with the event log

Stop error screen

If you have installed a new hardware or software, it may be conflicting with the installed program there by causing your system to dump it time the conflict occurs. You have to boot the system to safe mode and uninstall the new software or remove the new hardware and restart the system. Your system is supposed the boot okay.

Go into the BIOS and disable the error message unless you are not the owner of the computer or you care when someone has opened the case.

Memory overload

Greetings mh5591,

What this means is there currently is not enough hard drive on the unit to boot up windows. If there's not enough free space on your hard drive, Windows won't open. Try accessing through Safe Mode and see if you can create the necessary room. Boot the system, start tapping F8, when the menu appears, select
Safe Mode and press enter.

I hope this helps.

Go Ahead. Use Us.
