Question about Computers & Internet
I have Windows XP SP3. I had to have Windows completely reinstalled on my computer due to a virus. M-Audio Sessions worked fine before the reinstall but not after. I finally got it downloaded with the SP3 version and the microphone works too but there is no sound and I can't record. Any ideas what might be causing this?
More than likely your computer is lacking the drivers to run the sound card or sound portion of your motherboard. These are included ON the motherbaord drivers CD if integrated into the Motherboard and on thier own CD if you added in a soundcard in an expansion slot.
A good way to check is to go to the control panel , click on system, then select the hardware tab at the top, then select the "device manager " button. scroll down and look for a yelloe ! or ? next to your sound device or listed as "other device".
If you find ANY of these, the drivers are missing, corrupt or NOT installed.
If you include the make and model of the computer, I can help you with some specific instruction, so feel free to post again if you need more help.. Regards
