Question about Bosch 24 in. SGS43C12 Classixx Free-Standing Dishwasher

1 Answer

Bosch Dishwasher I have a stainless steel Bosch dishwasher, I made the "mistake" to try to see if I could fix the jammed handle from the door. Unfortunately, (did not realize the top panel comes off without opening the entire door). I removed the screws from the door frame (Inside panel), and the door springs/latched got loose. I would like to put it back together, but I dont have any diagrams on the door to make sure all parts are in place to put the door back together. I have been having too much trouble finding any repair manuals/diagrams on this. I would appreciate any help. Thanks

Hi ED, It sounds like a real problem here. If the springs are still in one piece, my best guess is to to remove the springs from the door. Then attach the springs to the dishwasher body first, then reattach the spring to the door. Not an easy job, good luck. If you have further problems check with www.repairclinic.com, as the repairguru there may be of more help.

Remove the screws around the inside of the stainless steel door panel, once you can gain access, repair or replace the door handle and return the door panel to normal.

Is there a stainless steel door panel replacement for bosch dishwasher shx43c02uc

If there isn't, you might try having a local metal shop cut you a piece of stainless, fold and weld the edges to make a cover for the door and adhere it either with epoxy or a small tack-weld. I wound up having to have a cover made for my Mom's stainless-steel fridge when only white and black ones were available and a metal shop doesn't charge much for it.

Alternately, if the metal panel is housed in a frame, try taking apart the frame, removing the panel and flipping it over. They usually just paint the one side, and if the other side is bare metal, such as aluminum, you can use sandpaper to give it a brushed finish and some clear-coat spray paint to give it that shiny stainless look and durability. Then just reassemble the door with the stainless-looking side facing outwards and the wrong-color side facing in. Worked for Mom's dishwasher!

How do I tighten the door handle on my Bosch dishwasher model SHY56A 05UC/14?

Remove front panel then you can access the handle screws. Open the door and remove the 'torx' screws surrounding the perimeter of the door.

This is just a suggestion, run a cycle and after a few mins of it washing, open the door and add a cup of bleach and let the washer run. See if this helps.

Can I get a different front door for my dishwasher?

From what I could gather, it appears that there may be a door panel kit available for your dishwasher. The kit appears to have the panel kit and the curved handle included. Some links for visual reference:
