Question about Kodak OFFICE HERO 6.1 All-in-One - Multifunction fax / - 1533561

I have a kodack 6.1 hero office printer. the screen has turned blank and won't show any commands and now on top of that the copier won't copy or do anything because a red light keeps blinking on and off. Because I cant see whats written on the screen to indicate what the problem is, I am at a loss to know how to get the copier working again. I checked all the obvious, the paper tray being full, the ink cardriges being full, but when I open the compartment where the ink cartridges should move to the center of the rod inside where I can retrieve them or take them out, the cartridge unit just seems to be stuck on the left side and not moving toward the center as it once did before. I did buy a two year replacement contract on it but I can't seem to find my receipt from walmart on it. But the seriol number on the kodack printer is service number: 07A3238, serial number is CN1K797764538BB90754. I don't know if this will help me to be connected with the service plan I purchased from walmart for two years. I don't know if it is automatically registriared when I bought the plan at the check out counter with walmart or if you could check on my plan somehow with your connections to see if I am covered under their warrentee for this printers repair if need be. I have replaced my ink cartridges numerous times and they are still full. It keeps telling me the ink cartridge needs replacing. It won't print and the red light keeps blinking. I have disconnected the usb and the power. I have only had this printer for about a year. It won't scan or print. Its a Kodak Easyshare 5300. The HomeCenter AiO is disconnected so how do I contact anyone from Kodak?

SOURCE: Printhead Error 3802

3802 Mean Printhead Failuer

All You need to do is turn the printer Off and On

And if the problem still there

Remove the ink cartridges and the printhead

And if the problem still there
Do it that again for (5x)

And if the problem still there

Tell this to kodak support

And tell the troubleshooting steps you did.

You probably need to clean the jets. On your computer you should have an icon for your printer type? Lexmark, Epson, etc? Well doubleclick it and it should have options for troubleshooting or maintenance. Go there and follow the instructions for cleaning and aligning the printer. Until you do that most printers won't reset to show the real levels anyway. Hope this helps. Let me know.

If you take the cartridge to walgreens, etc... they can clear the chip. There is none for home use

I read this solution to a problem someone else was having which was similar to my problem. I wiped off the roller with a damp cloth, made sure it was dry and that's all it took to allow the roller to be able to start to pull the paper through. - thanks for the help!

How to remove print head on a Kodak ESP 5250

If the ink cartridges and printhead are already in the printer, remove them, then reinstall them.
  1. Remove the color and black ink cartridges.
  2. Remove the existing printhead by lifting the latch in the center of the carriage. printhead_removal.jpg p342_0064aa.jpg ESP 3, 5, 7, 9, 3250, 5250, 5210,

Printer is paused all the time

Hello, sounds like your drivers are messed up, reload them to the computer or the connection cable maybe bad. If neither of these fix then the printer is bad.

Glitch. Quicker to do the following yes a pain yet quicker and less hassle in trying various proceedures.

Uninstall printer prog. Backup your docs before removal.

Access enter details of your printer and download the latest full update for your unit, then reinstall.

Printer will not print e-mails


Once you give print command of an email, your email program should ask you to select printer.

If you are using MS Office, by default One Note printer might be selected.

Please check which printer is assigned when you click print.

When faxing on HP Office jet 6210 lines show up on the paper when it is recieved

Hi, The problem could be with the receiving machine and not yours. Here is a little test you can do, make a copy of a blank page and if the copy has line on it then it is your machine, if not then it is not yours. You need to open the top where the document feed through and clean the scanner glass with a moist rag, spots on that glass can cause lines.
