Hello I think that the drum bearings have gone on the machine..
To open the door and spin the empty drum quickly by hand and you should hear the noise or say a less amplifed one.. Also another way to check is to move the inner durm up and down to see if there is any play in it..
If you need any further advice then dont hesistate to ask....

SOURCE: during spin cycle started making
I would say its definately the bearings. When you get it fixed its heaven. Listening to a silent machine!
Dont continue using the machine now the drum is so precarious or you will damage more parts and make it more expensive to repair.
All the best

this is a generic problem with top-loading washing machines. when the distribution of load is not uniform, it gives sound when spinning. if it produces noise even after equal distribution of clothes, the problem lies in the suspension. this is not a major fault, and can be put up with, rather than spending dollars on fixing it. this will in no way cause any special wear and tear for the machine.

Remove belt, and spin drum by hand, if it is noisy,or feels rough, then it is the main drum bearings that have failed.
Please rate my solution.
