Frozen won't budge

My Poulan Pro lawn tractor will not move. It has locked up. This has happened before, lubricant was sprayed and after rocking it , finally started to move. This time no such luck. Can you give me an idea as to what to do? Thank You, Gwen Jones

No, it isn't the first time the mower was used this year.

Is this the first time this year you've tried to use the motor?

On lawn tractors, usually on the right rear wheel, there is a brake for the transmission, if the brake seizes up, the mower will not move...the size nut on the brake adjust is 1/2 inch, all it takes is about 1/2 turn on the nut and the brake should release the disk

Transmission Locked up on Poulan Pro 18 hp

Is this a riding lawn tractor with a snow blower attachment? If so, I would inspect drive belt underneath unit to see if it slipped off and is locked up. If belts look ok, try pulling hydro release to see if you can push unit. If not your problem sounds internal.

I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

Throttle mechanism will not move.

Try 'break free' or any kind of penetrating spray around the throttle. Give it 15 min to soak in and try it again. Make sure you are pushing/tapping on the moving part and not the stationary piece. Should be another linage from there to the actual carb. Check that it is free and moving easily. Cable problems usually are inside the cabel, rust etc that binds the cable but you should be able to move the actuator w/a pliers with the cable unattached. Good luck

My poulan pro lawn tractor won't start. when i turn the key it click's 1 time can you help ?

Have you checked the battery terminal connections? Is the battery charged fully? Are you sitting on the seat when you try to crank the mower? Could be any of the above but most likely battery connection or the battery is discharged or old.
