How could I deactivate the function progresive scan on the LG DVD player. Due to this there is no display on the TV

On the Zenith/LG combo player I have, there is a menu option to select the different output modes. Your model should be similar, so go to the menu and look at all the options it offers for video and output. If you'll provide the model number in a followup comment, maybe I can find a copy of the manual and find out for sure what to do.

My DVD player LG DR165 DVD Recorder is giving me an error.

PROGRESIVE SCAN will only work with an HD TV and it does not work via the scart lead. Select off for it if you have an old TV. If you can't get it to stop coming on by doing what it says to do, then you have an electrical fault on the LG.
PROGRESIVE SCAN itself is a method of getting high quality images on HD TV's via the special sockets at the back of the DVD.

My dear friend they are some functions on the dvd who can cause that problem,one its if tou put the progresive scan function on the other the tv format ntsc or pal check on the dvd control if there got some button with those names and try to deactivate.Good luck
