It's time to cut the cord shorter. Disassemble and cut out the bad part of the cable and either marrette or add crimps etc to put it back together... or get a new cord cap.

Hi John:
These saws are usually really reliable, and SOLID.
I'd suggest that you UNPLUG THE SAW and then explore a bit. Look for loose bolts at the pivot points, or possibly a poorly fitted bolt. If this is your saw that you have had for some time, you should know what maintenance has been done that possibly caused this problem.

1 year old starting spitting out possible cord pieces and hitting me in shin area. at first I thought it was little rocks or pebbles,,but not

The cord is not properly wound on the center spool, or there is dirt, grass, plant parts, etc. in the spool release mechanism.
First step clean and check the spool and release.

Need new brushes

Match them up at ace hardware. Pull the screw out of the back by the cord. And slide that half down. Your brushes are exposed. Use the same spring that was in before and toss the new ones, unless they are close to the original. The ones that matched a recent 7750 (type 3) was #61702. Good luck.

When I try to cut with my saw, the blade bends so that the cut is at an angle. Because of this angle cut, it is difficult to follow a line but even if I can follow the line, the angle cut through a 3/4...

This is a common issue with jig saws. There are sometimes larger blades, but all seem to distort to some degree. The only real solution is to go slow enough to allow the blade to return to it's normal shape...Essentially, is sounds like another tool would work better, but often you are scrolling with a jig saw and circular saw (for example) would not work.

The other workaround involves several cuts, so the final cut is removing much less material.

You should have 2 hand wheels under there, or bolts, loosen them up, tilt the table, all set. Most band saws tilt, even the smallest and the least expensive. Hope this helps.
