SOURCE: Bought an Intermatic T104 Timer for a 120v pool

T104 series intermatic timers are 208/230/277 volt clocks, not 120. I believe you have the wrong model and need a T101 series instead.

SOURCE: I am having trouble wiring a 120V time delay relay. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have 120Volt 8-pin off-delay timer.
When you put power to terminals 2 and 7, test which other pins are energized.
120Volt Black Hot wire usually goes to terminal 7 and Neutral white wire goes to terminal 2.
As general rule the other terminals are dry and receive no voltage when timer is energized at terminals 7 and 2.
This means you must add a jumper wire from your Hot wire on terminal 7 to the Com terminal 8. This action will energize both Com terminal 8 and NC terminal 5. So test if 5 and 8 have continuity when timer is off. And test if both are powered when Com terminal is energized.

Then when timer activates, NC terminal 5 will no longer receive power from Come terminal, and NO terminal 6 receives power instead.

1) When oven turns ON, Power flows between the timer and the oven.

3) Since the H3CR timer is rated max 16 amps, I suspect the timer controls a contactor and is not directly attached to heavy oven wires.
So if max amp load on timer is 16 amps, then it is safe to add light bulb wire without line fuse between timer and light.

To protect timer, read following:

1) Max load on this timer is 5 amp at 240volts

2) If load exceeds 5 amps, then use timer to control contactor.
Here is crude drawing showing basic wiring for pin timer controlling heavy amp load.

3) If amp rating on incoming wires exceeds 5 amp, for example is circuit breaker feeding circuit is 20-30 amps etc, then protect wires to timer using busman in-line fuseholder with fast-acting 5 amp cartridge fuse.

H3CR-A is solid state multi-functional pin timer available in 8-pin and 11-pin models.

How to wire koyo timer kt-v4s-c-d


Koyo kt-v4s-c-d is a 12-24Volt DC pin timer.
Timer mounts in a pin base, and wires are connected to numbered screw terminals on the base.
Timer has 12 pins, and is installed onto 12 pin base.
The base terminals are labeled 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12
The 12-24V DC input voltage connects to terminals 11 and 12, and powers the timer mechanism. Positive to terminal 11, and negative to terminal 12.
The other terminals are dry, and receive no power when input is connected to 11 and 12, except the illustration seems to show the timer will electrically connect terminal 5 and negative charged terminal 12. Use multimeter to check each terminal after power is applied.

COM terminal is 8. Run jumper wire from one of the input terminals to terminal 8. When timer is OFF, then NC terminal 9 has power output. When timer is ON, then NO terminal 10 has output.
Timer functions are set using 8 dip switches.

I need a wiring diagram for an Omron H5CX-A timer


Wiring will appear on side of timer.
Test the timer with multimeter to see which terminals are connected. When timer has no power, then Com and NC terminals will have continuity.
H5CX-A Timer has 11 screw terminal connections and timer is rated 100V to 250Volt AC 50-60Hz.
Input is power IN > this is the 100V to 250Volts coming from breaker box or transformer. For example input terminals might be labeled A and B.
This will give power to timer, but remainder of screw terminals have no power.
To put power to relay terminals, jumper the power from Input terminal A to COM terminal.
For example Com terminals might be 7 and 9.
So jumper Hot wire from Terminal A to terminal 7.
This action will put hot on Com terminal 7, but also give power to the NC terminal.
For example the NC terminals might be 1 and 3.
So when timer is OFF, the NC terminal has power.
Then when timer turns ON, the NC terminal no longer has power, but the NO terminals are Hot.
NO terminals might be 4 and 6, and these terminals turn on-and-off when timer turns on--and-off

You want 3 minute 'off delay' timer.
When timer is energized with push button or momentary electrical signal, circuit remains ON for set amount of time, and then turns OFF.

Most delay timers have 1 amp capacity rating, so circuit needs fast acting 1 amp fuse, and timer controls separate relay or contactor unless Load is equal to 100 watt light bulb.

I use Omron H3CR 8pin to my CCTV in my car. I use pin 2 for ground,pin 7 for ignition, pin 4&5 for direct current from battery and pin 8 to +ve CCTV. My problem is when I off the engine the timer is...


I don't have exact schematic for your 8-pin timer.
Use multimeter read ohms and voltage from pin socket to pin socket.
Use multimeter set to ohms to read continuity of pins on timer.
Pin timer relays have NO NC pins.
Some pins are Normally Open (no current flows until timer turns on)
The other pins are Normally Closed (current flows until timer turns on, and when timer turns on, this circuit turns off)
