If it is broken then try an apple store, they may give you a replacement depending on the model for free, or you may have to buy a new one.

I broke the heat synch fan connector when replacing the fan. My guess is that I probably will have to replace the motherboard as this connector is on the mb. My laptop is Gateway mx6448. Is there a...

if you only broke the connector for the cpu fan, why do you have to replace the motherboard? just cut the wires and solder them directly to the motherboard , if the pins have broke off, if the pins are still there then just bend them straight and put the fan plug on them

Putting it together

Ok these are tricky, so what you need to do is check your poles and connectors. You should have long poles and assorted connectors.
A bit of mathematics and you'll have it done in no time.
Ok lay out the poles and sort into longs and shorts.
Sort the connectors into 2 pole connectors (straights) and 3 pole connectors (three way)
Now check the angles on the three way connectors, sort them into groups. some should be slightly angled, these are the roof connectors and the others ones are 90 degrees and or more squarish these are the floor corner connectors. There should be 4 floor corner connectors and There will be two connectors that fit onto the end of roof front and back of the tent.
Sort out your poles and work out how many you need for each dimention. Basically your tent is a cube with a triangular prism on the top so you will need enough poles of even length to make the base and top bit of the cube and then even lengths of poles to make the upright sides of your cube. There should also be 4 four way connectors for attaching the roof. the top of you cube is the base of the triangluar prism.
Hope this helps. TIP once you get this together, MARK the conections with NUMBERS EG: 2 / 2 / 2 one number on each bit (the connector and each pole that is attached to it), this way when you pull it apart you can reconnect it much easier later on.

Panasonic RF-B65 short wave radio won't tune to frequency when turned on, just flashes 'E' and turns off automatically. Any suggestions ?

RF-B65 has a known issue with the power connector on side. It gets resistive from not being used. If you apply 6 vdc and it works, its most likely the batteries or the power connector. If both produce a "E" its PLL doesnt lock. Power plug most likely issue. Another issue is the tuning knob. It skips or jumps irratically. The up/down frequency changes are by a cube 1/2 inch square contactor. Its not optical. Just simple mechanical contactor. Remove the small cube from chassis and spray liquid gold. It will clean wire contactor and lubricate internals. You cannot buy the cube. Cleaning it always works for me. RF-B65 radio is a sure winner. Small, reliable and very sensitive. Has SSB also. eter

Check the connector coming from the monitor and see if any pins are crushed or touching. It may be shorting power going to it.

Bose Cube Speakers separated

Ok…

I had the same problem with a Bose separated double-cube Acoustimass speaker/array but was able to fix it as follows:

Tools:
small, thin, flat-head screwdriver
large pliers
C-clamp

Instructions:
1. Disconnect the speaker wires from the cube.
2. Remove the grille from the top speaker cube. It just pops off.
3. Insert a small, thin, flat-head screwdriver around the perimeter of the speaker. You will have to pry lightly to break the glue’s seal.
4. Using a set of pliers (large, plumber-sized) wiggle the speaker until it comes free. You might need to grip it top to bottom and then left to right. The speaker will come free of the case.
5. Remove the white insulation to get a clear view of the dislodged brace/connector.
6. Stack the top and bottom cubes. Make sure that the rubber seal between the cubes is seated properly and that the black and white cables are not pinched.
7. Using the C-clamp, compress the brace/connector until it seats on one side. Loosen the C-clamp and compress the opposite side. The brace/connector should snap into place. Be sure the make sure that you do not pinch the speak wires that are running through the center of the brace/connector.
8. Test the articulation. It should be the same as your other speakers.
9. Replace the white insulation in the back of the speaker case.
10. Press the speaker into the case’s face. If you wish, you can apply your preference of glue to the edge of the speaker prior to pressing it into the case.
11. Snap the grille onto the speaker.
12. Connect the speaker wires to the cube and you are done.

You should be good to go.
