Question about Electronic Specialties Battery & Starting/Charging System Tester

Ford explorer 98 replaced starter replaced starter relays new fuel pump. shop did some work still having starting problem. the shop said it needs a new flywheel.doesnt skip seems to be straining to start new battery too.

If flywheel is worn, then it should be replaced. Chances are that it's the problem.

98 ford explorer fuel pump only work for one second than shut off when you crank the engine the fuel pump shut off


Check the fuel pump relay connections, the Explorer is bad about connection corrosion at the relays, try unplugging it and sticking it back in. Hope this help, let me know.

it means that the key(s) needs to be recoded to the car,when you did the wheel you wiped the codes out.....the transponders are in the keys.
the car thinks its not you/your keys.

My 1995 Explorer will start then wont start.


what exactly is it doing, does the starter turn the engine over? if that is ok what is the fuel pressure reading? do u hear the pump running?

disconnect fuel filter on flow side turn key on if it spits fuel you should check the sparkplugs and injectors for propper spray pattern

My 1998 ford explore stop running!


Try rapping your started with a hammer a couple of times. It sounds to me you are having starter problems, not you fuel pump. If this works it may be only tempory and your starter may "freeze up" again. If so, you are probably in need of a new starter.

1995 FORD EXPLORER 4X4 6 CYL 4 DOOR WONT START


Fords have inertia fuel cut off switch. You need to check that first. If you dont have fuel. If you have fuel and no spark you need to check for inj pulse to injector. Make sure no fuses are blown. If no spark and no injector pulse then replace cranksensor.
