Question about Computers & Internet
My Gateway laptop has no sound card for recording audio off the internet or from any website that has audio on it. Can I download a sound card for free or would I have to by one and have it installed? Thanks for your help, Patrick from Columbus Oh
A sound card is a piece of hardware, and if not included with your laptop, you need to buy one and install it.
It is possible that you have a sound card, but it might be disabled in the BIOS. You would need to restart your computer, and enter the BIOS setup program to check if you have a sound card that is disabled.
You can go to gateway website and their website will tell you which hardware is installed
