First of all check if you have the integrated sound card or an external sound card on the computer.in case you have any of these try checking if you have connected the speakers in the correct port or not.the other thing is the audio drivers.check if they are installed in device manager or not if they have some bang on them try uninstalling & reinstalling the audio drivers.
