Green White is for the power switch. Red-White is for the HDD LED and Black-white is for manual reset. Look at the plastic clips at the end of these wires. Generally they it written on them.......sodeep

We were given a HOT POINT Heavy Duty Dryer with Automatic Dry Control, Model DLB2650BRLWH, Serial No. DG241274H and had to buy the power cord to go with it. Ordered the cord from a local appliance company,...

Technical explanation: Older 240 Volt appliances use a three-wire power cord (Black, White, Red). The White wire is the "neutral" connection, which is tied to Ground at the service entrance panel. The Black and Red wires are opposite phases of the 240 VAC (when one goes positive, the other goes negative). The neutral wire is "in between", so measuring the voltage between the black or red wire and neutral would give you 120 VAC. The green wire is frame ground; the electrical code requires newer (since 2008) 240 VAC appliances to have a separate ground bonding connection to the frame; the neutral connection is not considered adequate protection for certain failure conditions.

Look for a screw head or terminal stud on the frame or sheet metal of the dryer labeled "Ground", "Earth", or one of the following ground symbols:

The green wire goes to this point. DO NOT connect the green wire to any of the wiring inside the dryer, unless it is a green wire attached to sheet metal or a bracket!

The black, white and red wires go to black, white and red terminals you already found.

I'M TRYING TO HOOK UP MY INSIGNIA 42'' 1080P FLAT-PANEL LCD HDTV TO OUR DVD PLAYER USING THE COMPONENTS (RED, BLUE, GREEN, RED & WHITE CABLES) PROVIDED AND THE PICTURE IS IN BLACK & WHITE....

The three picture cords (red/blue/green) often are a little larger around than the sound cords (red/white). If they are they same size, they are often grouped separate by picture and sound. Double check to verify if you have the "red" cords correct. Good luck.

How can i connect the power line for bunn cwtf35 single coffee maker

It is rather simple and color coded. On the machine there should be three wires behind the front panel which is held in by either 4 or 6 screws. Remove the panel, the wires are going to be black, red and white. In most instances the red and white are together. Simply hook up the black cord in the power cord to the black wire on the terminal. Then the white cord from the power to the red wire. The ground will go to a green screw with a flat plate which will be located at the bottom front of the tank. www.midstatebeverage.com

I need to switch my three prong power chord to a four prong

your terminal block on the dryer will have three screws in a row and there will be a green screw on the outer skin next to the terminal block cover - your four-wire cord will have a white wire, red, black and green wires - white wire goes on the center screw of the terminal block, red wire goes on one of the other screws of the terminal block, it doesn't matter which, black wire goes on remaining terminal block screw, green wire goes to the green screw

Trying to install 3 way cord with a 4 way replacement cord. I have disconnected all wires and put them back. My question is concerning the white wire. The wires that are already connected to the dryer red,...

In a three wire system you have 2 hot wires (black and red) and a neutral (white). the ground is connected to the neutral at the dryer. In a 4 wire system you have the 2 hot wires, neutral, and a ground. (green). The ground is connected with the neutral at the circuit panel. The hot wires at the dryer should be on the outside scres, the neutral should be in the center and the ground should be under the green screw. *****. .
