It may be that the lint screen sensor is dirty. Clean the lint screen and check to make sure the sensor is clean. Also check to make sure it is installed correctly and masking a good seal and contact.

Dryer - Tips for Cleaning Dryer Lint Trap!

Most people know where their lint trap is and most know or think they know how to clean them. BUT do you really know? For the people that use the fabric softner dryer sheets, they might find out that they still have not cleaned it properly. So if your dryer seems to take a longer and longer time to dry your clothes you might want to check this little tip out.

Remove your lint trap and clean it normally. Then take it to your sink and run water onto it. IF the water doesn't pass through it immediately you have a blockage! You can't see it, but your dryer sheet is leaving residue on the screen and slowly building up.

If there was any blockage, then you can use an old toothbrush to clean it. Just the toothbrush and water. To check to see how well you did run water and see if it passes through the screen immediately.

This will increase your dryer efficiency and you save a little energy in the process.

_don@hotmail.comthe heat control function doesn't seem to be working, the clothes get very hot regardless of setting. which device controls the temperature? Thanks for your help. Don

Hi ngentry don...
Your overheating problem is not caused by the thermostats...
Do the following:

Check and clean if necessary your vent hose.
If you vent hose "seems" to be clean then, try running the dryer with the vent hose off and see if the dryer is not running hot anymore.
Make sure your lint screen is in place and has no tears or holes in it and is still firmly attached to the frame.
If you are running too hot you are not moving enough air thru the system.
It could be that the fan blade is plugged up.
The problem could be a large lint ball build up in the center of the fan or a sock, thin pants,a pen, etc. that has gotten into the fan by falling down the hole where the lint screen is normally inserted.
You have to find the air restriction to solve the problem.
It also can be a loose or worn out blower wheel/fan.
Please take time to rate me.

My kenmore dryer doesn't warm up

First check the lint screen. If it's caked up, clean it. Secondly, check the exhaust duct for any lint build up. The build up usually occurs where the duct exits the house. If it's blocked, clear the exhaust vent.

There isn't any power, cord checks out fine,

The thermal fuse has failed. This is caused usually by extreme heat (due to internal or external lint build up).but can be caused by a componenet failure. I am using LEA10AW as the model number for parts reverence.
The thermal fuse is item 6 this link:
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=19412&diagram_id=28449751#d28449751

Things you must check
1. Lint filter and cavity for lint build up. (Remove the lint filter and wash it in vinegar and water and soap and water) Fabric sheet particulate imperminates the screen. It can look clean but be 85 - 95 percent blocked with the particulate.
2. All internal and external ducting for restrictions.
3. The outside wall thru the wall vent flapper for lint build up. (Clean it!)
4. Check for airflow after replacing the thermal fuse and cleaning. The air-flow at the dryer vent outlet should push a relaxed hand gently away from the outlet. If it does not to this there may be a broken blower wheel hub or impeller blades. Blower wheel is item 8 this link:
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=19412&diagram_id=28449750#d28449750

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Use a folded wire coat hanger and a vacuum to remove all lint in hard to reach places.

My dryer takes about 3 hours to dry one load, wer changed the coils, gut the problem is still the same, what else can it be?

Check to make sure the vent is not plugged with lint. Also wash your lint screen make sure it doesn't hold water sometimes they get a film on it and it won't let air by. Quick way to check your vent if you can't get to it........ Is to buy another flex pipe and run it outside and then dry a load of clothes and see how long it takes...

Sears kenmore elite oasis dryer 110 67032600 check lint screen flashes doesn t heat

Hello,

Check the vent on the back. This is indicating a air flow issue. If the vent is clear ohm the heater out check it for continuity.

You can watch a video that explains how to complete this repair on your sears Kenmore Elite clothes dryer at the link below.
