Why are my cooling fans for radiator running constantly?

The cooling fans are supposed to run any time the a/c is on in order to keep air flowing across the condenser. Your a/c will not work properly at idle if they quit.

Eb20b/ electric furnance/ blower wont shut-off after heat kicks out, got to kill breaker , runs all the time, installed new thermostat, no change?????? Its cold??????

Check the thermostat and make sure the fan switch is set on "Auto". If it is set on "ON" the blower will run constantly.

Is it just the indoor fan that runs constantly? Have you checked the fan switch at the thermostat? Make sure it is set to Auto.

2003 GMC Envoy main blower fan runs constantly

Does the fan stay on even with the ignition key off? Do you have automatic heating and air conditioning controls? Automatic controls have a light up blue screen in the middle of the temperature controls, and there will be a button that says "Auto". If you do have automatic controls, the likely culprit of your fan staying on constantly is what is called the blower control processor. The blower control processor is a small computer that replaces the blower resistor commonly found in cars. When the blower control processor fails, it usually "sticks" on. It's not a cheap part, but is easy enough to replace if you're handy with basic hand tools and comfortable unplugging electrical connectors under the glove compartment area.

Heater won't go off

Hi,

If you're referring to the heater "FAN" running continuously, then its likely to be your blower motor resistor.

The heater blower motor (under the dash) has constant power supplied from the battery, but is controlled by the blower "resistor" - usually mounted on the blower motor assembly. If one or more of the blower resistor coil wires are faulty, the motor will either not work on one of the fan settings, or will constantly run by itself.

Main blower constant run with t- stat off //No heat

If it is calling for heat the draft inducer it is the first device energized, the pressure switch will want to be proved and then the ignitor will glow and the gas valve will energize and the sensor will prove the flame and the heat is on.
If one of the above is not in the right time and place the rest will not work. About the fan it is either a shorted control wire for the fan or the limit switch (the high temperature limit) is made or bad.
If that is not the case the the thermostat has a switch in the back between the gas fired or electric. That will determine if the fan should be on every call for heat.

My fan runs constantly even if the system is off. The only way to cut it off is to kill power by the main outside breakers

Check the thermostat and make sure it is in the auto position. If that does not correct the problem you will need to disconnnect power to the unit, unhook the thermostat wires and plug power back in. If tha corrects the problem it is either in the wiring or the thermostat. If the fan continues to run, replace the furnace control board.
