It Depends, if you want to use your TV as a display for your computer the easiest and cheapest way to connect them is to buy a graphics card with HDMI and of course a HDMI cable.(i recommend a graphics card of at least 1024mb) But If you want to use your PC to record from your TV, that, its possible but we talking about more complicated tasks.

SOURCE: What is the easiest, cheapest and best way to

Your TV has what they call component inputs which are generally red blue and green. Your PC only outputs VGA (USB ports are not used for video). You will need a VGA to component converter. Depending on the quality you are looking for the prices can range from $6 up to $18 or more. Here are a couple of them:

Testimonial: "My Tv does not have the Red, Blue, Green component. It only has Y, Pb, Pr and S-video, RCA (yellow, white, red) And from what I understand the VGA signal on my computer can't be translated into any of the ones my T.V. has. Basically I need to know if there is any way to go from VGA to the ones I've listed that my T.V. has."

What the best HD connection for D52W20 52in

HDMI is the way to go if your TV supports it: it delivers audio and video via one wire. Otherwise, you could go with component PB/Y/PR, which will offer the same definition, but you will have more wire clutter.

Where do I get a cable to connect my laptop pc to the DVI input jack on the Soyo 32" LCD TV?

You will need either a DVI-I to DVI-I cable or a DVI-I to HDMI cable. Your computer should have a DVI-I output or HDMI. You can not directly connect a VGA output to the TV. If needed, you can purchase a VGA to component (Y/Pb/Pr) converter.

Can an adapter be used to connect this unit to a sony hd ready tv. The sony has the round connector for hook up and not the square type. I want to hook up a DCT 3400 Series High-Definition DVR

If your Sony TV is hd ready you have a number of choices of connections you can use. On the back of the DCT 3400 you have regular AUDIO and VIDEO connections, the separate Y, Pb, & Pr connections (both of these use the regular RCA style connectors), RF in (which uses the standard cable connection), and the HDMI connector, which uses a special flat ribbon style connector. Your Sony should have all of these types of connectors on the back of the TV. The separate Y, Pb, & Pr, or HDMI connectors will give you the best picture.
