How to rest bios password on gateway m-7342u

This information is intended for experienced users. It is not intended for basic users, hackers, or computer thieves. Please do not try any of following procedures if you are not familiar with computer hardware. I'll not be responsible for the use or misuse of this information, including personal injury, loss of data or hardware damage. So use it at your own risk. A. By Using the Motherboard Jumper:
In most motherboards CMOS battery is soldered, which makes it difficult to remove the battery. In this case we use another method.
Almost all motherboards contain a jumper that can clear all CMOS settings along with the BIOS password. The location of this jumper varies depending upon the motherboard brand. You should read your motherboard manual to check its location. If you don't have the manual then look for the jumpers near the CMOS battery. Most of the manufacturer label the jumper as CLR, CLEAR, CLEAR CMOS, etc.
When you find the jumper, look carefully. There will be 3 pins and the jumper will be joining the center pin to either left or right pin. What you need to do, is remove the jumper and join the center pin to the opposite pin. e.g. if the jumper joins center pin to left pin, then remove it and join center pin to right pin. Now wait for a few seconds and then again remove the jumper and join the center pin to left pin.
Make sure to turn the PC off before opening the cabinet and resetting the jumper.
B. By Using Software:
I have found that BIOS/CMOS Password Recovery Tool is the most effective.:
BIOS/CMOS Password Recovery Tool is a program that works instantly to remove any lost or forgotten BIOS/CMOS password. Simply boot your PC to DOS and execute the program, and get access to forgotten BIOS/CMOS passwords in just seconds

I have an acer aspire one series ZG5 that wont boot up in windows? what do i do?

Somehow the BOIS password has been enabled. If you dont know this password then you going to prob have to take to a computer shop unless you know how to access the motherboard and remove the cmos battery and short the terminals for 10 seconds. this will erase the memeory and reset the bois to default which doesnt require a password.
Hope this helps

Lost the password to enter bois what do I do? Just keeps rebooting

The best way to clear BIOS password is to remove the bios jumper or CMOS battery, as it involves hardware tampering, DO NOT try it yourself, instead call for a good technician.

On the other hand, if it keeps rebooting, then it may not be a BIOS
problem, OS can be corrupt also. In that case, re-installing the OS can solve the problem.

You will have to remove the motherboard battery (the small silver one), or if you have the manual look for a reset bios jumper - move it to the reset position, then back (google internet for more details).

Password on bois

When I lost my windows password, I like to reset Windows Password with Windows Password Reset 9.0 and I think it is excellent and professional!
Once the password is removed, there is no need to type any passwords but to leave it blank, and click the user name to instantly log on Windows.

Lost password

I had a Thinkpad do that. It was a hardware password on the motherboard so they suggested replaceing the whole motherboard. There was one guy, I think he was in Australia, would hack the security chip if you mailed him the laptop. They are designed to be next to impossible incase your laptop gets stolen and you have sensitive data on it. My advice is DONT use the password on a laptop unless it is really sensitive valuable data, or if you never forget your passwords.
