My problem is that i have to operate net just by clicking the internet explore but now i want to change the way to operate like i have to first login in then start the net for eg- user name _______________ password_____________
So you want to first force a login before using the Internet?
You can do so by changing the connection under IE options.
You would go into properties, connections and choose always dial a connection. Make sure that you have the connection listed and that the username and password aren't checked to remember.
Is that what you mean? Some steps might be slightly different when using different browser or IE version. Hope that helped.

Faye78, I am going with that you have an HP Home page for your Internet. So every time you open up Internet Explorer you get an HP Web Page. You can change this two ways:
Option 1: Go to "Options" in the "Tools" Menu. Choose the "Main" Tab from the list on the top. Click on the "Use Current Page(s)" button.
Option 2: Click on "Start" - "Control Panel" - "Internet Options" - "Then type Windstream.net" in the first large window - "Click Okay". See the image bellow as to where to type. Once you have done that try opening up Internet Explorer and if it was done correctly your Home Page would be "Windstream.net". I have included two photos one from Windstream about how to change it, and another is a

To get to the system restore (if that's what you are asking for?), go to Control Panel - Performance and Maintenance - and System Restore will likely show in the top sidebar to the left. If this is a new problem, likely restoring to an earlier date could correct it. In the alternative, perhaps you need to update Internet Explorer before attempting any further O/S updates. Additionally, I would suggest a full system backup so you aren't completely unprotected if something major fails. Thanks for rating FixYa!
