Question about Uniden DCT646-3 Cordless Phone
I went on vacation for a few weeks, and when I returned, my phone's screen pnly lights up, but no info is displayed. Help!
Now companies as Logicom use the dirty maneuver of introduce a program that disables the LCD screen after a period of inactivity, so you do not have another choice but to throw it away and buy another apparatus.
So are the mafias of companies as Logicom.
The models OLEA 353/352/350 all them have this manipulation (and many others)..

My DCT648 handset display showed up smeared then filled with blocks. Unplugging the battery for 10 seconds then reconnecting it fixed it for the time being.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I always tell people NOT to buy new batteries to try and fix their cordless phone. It seems to rarely solve the problem and you are usually better off just spending the money on a new phone. Unfortunately 5 years is a long time for cordless phones these days. There are so many brands, and so many thousands of models, it's impossible to keep track of them all.

SOURCE: uniden 5.8Ghz phone.
You need to reset the main base unit. Unplug the power from the back of the base. While the power is disconnected, press and hold the delete key while reconnecting the power. Wait for a long beep tone. When the display shows 88 or P, press play button one time. If you have a phone without an answering machine, disconnect the power from the back of the base, press and hold find hs button while reconnecting power.
