SOURCE: water dripping into tub

One of your water solenoid valves are either going bad or stuck open with a little sediment. Find out which is leaking by turning off one of the water lines to the washer. If after it is turned off it still leaks try turning the first water valve back on the turn the other water valve off. This will help you determine which solenoid valve is having the problem. Once identified it is easily replaced.

SOURCE: Fisher Paykel washing machine model # GWL15 drips

Hi Dale..
It sounds like you have a leaky inlet valve assembly. The part number is 421029P and is easy to replace. You can get one here:

SOURCE: My roper washing machine wont stop filling, water

If when you shut off or unplug the machine, the water stops response #1 is correct.
If shutting it off or unplgging it, doesn't work and you have to shut the water off at the shut off valves, the dual water valve is bad.

SOURCE: water drips into the tub when the washer isn't running

Your solonoid is in need of a service. Tilt the washer sideways after you unplug it and remove the water pipes. Once disconnected, undo a nut or two holding the plate in position.and remove water valve from machine. Possibly you can remove both water pipes from the valve assembly without going in from underneath. Once loose, use appropriate screwdriver or socket spanner and carefully strip the valve. Clean dirty area untill all particles are removed. reassemble and retry..

Brand new roper washing machine model # RTW4440VQ2 the cold water is very slow filling hot is fine

This model of washer has something called an Automatic Temperature Control. This means the washer puts water into the tub at specific tempreatures instead of just 100% cold, or 100% hot. Be sure and check that the hot and cold fill hoses are connected to the proper places on the back of the washer. It's possible that the ATC (mentioned above) is causing the washer to fill slowly on the cold setting.

Roper washing machine will only run one load every 12 hours!!

It's overfilling If your washer is overfilling, check these: Water-inlet valve Water-level switch Water-inlet valve A defect in the water-inlet valve may mean that it's no longer able to shut off completely when the electricity has been turned off to it. If this occurs, the valve may leak and drip water into the clothes tub. In time, the water may accumulate substantially. If this happens, you need to replace the valve. Water-level switch A defect--or an obstruction--in the water-level switch may mean that it can't tell the water to shut off. So the machine overflows. This switch senses the water level in the clothes tub. It's usually a diaphragm device with a small, clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level in the tub increases, the pressure on the air in the tube increases. When the pressure reaches a certain level, it activates the switch, shuts off the water, and signals the timer to begin the agitate cycle. You can either clear any obstruction in the tube or replace the water-level switch.
