Your best beat would be as you remove the original wires from the original case they should be labeled already and you new case should be labeled already or have a manual for it ..... so should be pretty easy at that point.... worst case trail and error is how I used to do it .. cant really mess anything up

Comment by Kevin A, posted on Mar 13, 2008 The reason for this is that the standard XP disks do not have drivers for the SATA disk. When booting from the CD, the internal disk is not recognised and thus invisible to the XP setup program.

SOURCE: my motherboard is a samsung harappa-30, pba:

After you open the motherboard at the right hand opposite corner to the IO ports side( where we connect the monitor, keyboard mouse Etc ) you will find a set of 9 pins under which it will be written F_panel and P_sw,Hdd_led,P_led and reset pins and a no pin ie the the single pin
you have connect the front_panel wires in the order how it is named below and the black and white are negative ones so for everyu pair of connection + first and then - connect it in the order (13)(24)(57)(68)
+ 1 2 +
- 3 4 -
+ 5 6 -
+ 7 8 -
9(No connection Pin)

I have an acer e500 tower wont boot a cable from what looks like the front panel near on switch is disconnected from motherboard and i dont know where it fits

Should be an input that says pwr or pwr sw on the motherboard. Really the power switch input is usually 2 pin and the only one on the mobo.

Replace the defective RAM.
Video card that is built-in on the motherboard uses shared RAM, it uses part of the main RAM.

The Acer Aspire L100 is a desktop computer powered by a special DC adapter and power cable. The computer's motherboard incorporates a fuse designed to prevent any power surges from damaging the computer. If the fuse burns out due to a power surge or for any other reason, the computer will no longer function. You can check the motherboard fuse for damage yourself, then take it to a trained technician for replacement if needed

Shut down the Acer Aspire L100 and turn the tower around.

Press the "On/Off" button on the front of the tower. If the computer will not boot and the fan does not turn on, the fuse may be burned out.

Unplug the power cord from the rear of the tower

Turn the tower on its side and remove the Phillips-head screws connecting the back panel to the Aspire L100's cabinet.

Pull out the motherboard assembly gently from the back of the cabinet. The internal fuse is located on the motherboard behind the DC power jack, which is to the right of the monitor jack

Let me know if this helped..

I want to put my acer motherboard into a tower as the flat desktop model is taking up too much space but I will need to know exactly where everything connects to the board (power, front panel,, on/off,...

Only a true Acer manual for this model of PC could assist you. They provide a special connector in this model, for the front panel connectors, that cannot be simply connected in a standard Desktop or Tower case.

Hi We have an Acer T120 with a faulty power on off switch. The housing which sits under the switch on the front panel has broken. Do you know whether it is possible to buy a replacement...

    Hi Jean,
I don't believe it would be economically viable for you to purchase the front panel which houses the on/off switch. This may prove costly.
I would rather look out for a new case with power supply and transfer your motherboard etc. to the new case.
You should be able to get a new case & power supply from your local PC shop for under $50.
    Best wishes,

Dell Asus M2N61-AX MB front panel connector Nix ATX Gaming case

I assume you mean the HDD,reset,on switch etc where they plug onto the mobo.

Most mobos are labelled on the board but you will need good eyesight to read. They are labelled HDD, RESET, SPEAKER etc.

If not simply look up mobo manual from vendors site. You will need the DELL serial / part number from the old unit though.
