Question about Frigidaire Ovens

Open Question

Our Frigidaire GLEB27Z7 is less than 3 years old. Our EOC went out a little over a year ago and we replaced it. It has gone out again and we are replacing it again. Is that normal it goes out 2ce in less than 3 years? Did we get a lemon? It's becoming very expensive to keep this oven. Help!!!

Hi Indy2008,
You can find my solution to the most common cause of the F7 problem at the following link:
http://www.fixya.com/howto/h155060-dreaded_f7_error

I have helped over 1600 folks solve the F7 problem. The problem is usually with the touchpanel and not the ERC. My fix tells how to determine which part is faulty. Hopefully you will not need to purchase a new touchpanel, however, if you do, an internet search will lead you to lower cost sources.

Please let me know if my fix works for you. You can email me at:

SOURCE: keep having to replace element

Not neccesscarily a problem with oven, as it is quite a common fault with fan ovens.
You could make sure that the fan is running properly, and is free to turn, and that the fan blades are not covered in grease etc',
Make sure that oven door seal is o/k, as hot air escaping here will lead to longer running times.
Plz rate this solution.
Thanks.

Frigidaire oven wont heat up but stovetop and digital all works

Hello angeleyez82 - The EOC (electronic oven control/control board) basically sends power to both the broil and bake elements. As long as the power supply to the range (240VAC) and wiring between the elements is correct, then typically only the element(s) or EOC could prevent the unit from heating. I hope this information helps to some degree.

While baking we are getting error F 95 on our kenmore elite wall oven

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.
your f95 means your Door motor mechanism has a failure. The motor does not stop rotating.

Press stop key. Turn off power for 30 seconds then turn power on. If the door lock motor never stops rotating, or if the F95 error comes back again, verify wiring of the motor. if wiring is good, replace the EOC. If the problem persists, replace the motor latch assembly.

Oven will not ignite, it is approx. 8 yrs old. 2 years ago the ignitor was changed for a similar problem. Everything works on stove even the broiler. Very dissapointed in the GE profile since I have had...

Jim your ignitor has gone bad once again.
You can turn off the gas supply, remove the oven racks, remove the oven base pan, remove the flame spreader to access the ignitor.
Place a clamp on amp meter over one wire of the ignitor and turn the control on for bake. If the ignitor does not glow at all. It is bad. If it glows and reads 3 amps or less on the amp meter it is still bad.
A proper functioning ignitor will light and re-light the burner in 45 seconds or less.

Hi,

F7 is a EOC(electronic oven/clock control) failure.

Replace and it would fix the problem.

Note :- Some models have 3 to 5 years warranty.

Thanks.

Oven heating element

Hello rvready
Welcome,

You said, We have an OLD (1950-60) Frigidaire wall oven, model # RBG-94. Bottom heating element has gone out. Oven is still in good shape so we'd like to be able to find an element replacement, but have had no luck finding one.

unfortunately,
I am not able to find this part either.
Anywhere. This oven is to old for parts. But most important is that it is causing you high utility rates!
Today's appliances save you the arm and the leg that such an old oven is costing you.
You have no idea how it is sucking your money out of your pocket!
It is unfortunate, that no one told you about this years ago!
You payed for more than one oven with your utility bill if you had it since it was new. My advice is do not put good money into bad!
Shop for a new one and see your bills go down.
my wife was telling me to replace the air and furnace for 7 years and I said, it's not broken. But it was over 20 years old. She was right, cause the new one saved me $100. a month!
That means I threw away $7000. in 6 years with my old world attitude.
Yes I am old fashion and always fix it!
But after 25 years of marriage. i finally realized she is a good evaluator and I was a fool to not appreciate her gift for all these years! And out tons more money than I told you about!

Hope I saved you some bucks with my real life stories!
Don't tell your wife!!!
Huuum

Frigidaire self cleaning convection range

Error code F1

1. Shorted keypad.
2. Control's internal checksum may have become corrupted.
3. Control has sensed a potential runaway oven condition. Control
may have shorted relay, RTD sensor probe may have gone bad.
1. Disconnect power, wait 30 seconds and reapply power. If fault returns
upon power-up, replace EOC.
2. Check RTD sensor probe and replace if necessary. If oven is
overheating, disconnect power. If oven continues to overheat when
the power is reapplied, replace EOC. Severe overheating may require
the entire oven to be replaced, should damage be extensive.
3. Replace EOC.
Check resistance at room temperature, if less than 500 ohms, replace
Temperature (°F) Resistance (ohms)
32 ± 1.9 1000 ± 4.0
75 ± 2.5 1091 ± 5.3
250 ± 4.4 1453 ± 8.9
350 ± 5.4 1654 ± 10.8
450 ± 6.9 1852 ± 13.5
550 ± 8.2 2047 ± 15.8
650 ± 9.6 2237 ± 18.5
900 ± 13.6 2697 ± 24.4
Hope it helps please let me know
