Question about Sewing Machines

Mylock 334d my machine is threaded up properly and starts walking through and overlocking then it jams and the thread gets caught up in the footplate which i then have to take off and cut off the thread... can anyone help please? it is driving me mad!

    i meant to say it gets caught up in the 'needle hole' in the footplate..

Your thread tension wheel may be set to too high of a tension, which will cause the thread to pull out from the bobbin. Try a lower tension setting.

If set too low, then threat from the top end would hang loose and possibly snag, instead.

SOURCE: thread wont overlock

When the thread breaks too often, try these, that goes for all sewing machines
1. Replace the needles,
2. Loosen slightly the tension of the needle threads.
3. The top threads are to thin,
4.The sewing (rotary) hook or looper, has burs,
5. Wrong threading

Check there is no thread caught in the tension units and set them ALL to 3 for the Factory setting......try a sample.....if it looks good, OK, if not, try to balance it by gently altering the knobs on the right (loopers) until they form an even tension in balance with each side of the fabric.

I need to know the proper tension of a Janome 334d Mylock.

this very same thing happened to my flat machine turned out to be a piec of material jammed in the workings also wrong oil used or it might be thread jammed try and see
