Question about Washing Machines
It is iether a bad drain pump, or a broken plastic pump impeller. It may not be a servicable part, depending on your washing machine model.
Unfortunately, in my experience, it is seldom worth the price many parts stores would charge, if the machine is not still under warranty. In two instances, I've had machines worth less than $200 end up needing the drain pump assembly and the part would be priced well over $100.
