It is hard to open an LG dryer. You open the top by unscrewing the 3 screw which located a little bit deeper underneath the top. Then pushing forward the top about two inches and lift it up. There are two hooks holding the top. Once the top lifted up, you have to pop off the console then remove the control board, remember to take picture before doing that. You will see 3 screws on the top and two screws right below the filter. Take them all out and you can pop off the front. From then you can see everything inside the dryer. Igniter is inside the fire compartment, it will be removed easy.

Dryer will not heat. Checked the ventilation and breaker. What else could it be?

The igniter or the gas valve. Both are on the bottom right in front of the machie. You will need to remove the lid and front panel to get to them. To test them take the door switch out of the door, plug it back in, and have someone hold it while you watch the igniter. It should glow almost white. If it does not check to see if it is getting power, If it is not getting power your might have an issue with the control board. If it is getting power replace it.

Gas dryer LG DLG3788W

Take a 2 inch putty knife and slide in the separation gap just above the door.  There are 2 catches on each of the panel about 3 inches from each side.  Push in to release the catch and the top panel will pop open.
