Grounding issues are just simply earth connections that are either loose or are badly soldered. Sometimes with bad soldering a knock on the unit can make it play. It's just a question of going inside and looking - with a lens sometimes - at soldering joints - wire connections and screws fixing. Random cut outs certainly sound like bad soldering problems etc. The only other cause is heat sensitive devices, which shut down when too hot. But I wouldn't jump to that conclusion just yet.
i have this similar problem, randomly cuts power. i already tried replacing the toy in the market where i bought it. but after a few days it cuts power again randomly. im still trying to find solutions for this. let me know if you have found one, thanks.
