Are you sure your monitor is OK ? I had similar issue, but monitor was fault. It showed picture then went black.

Try in dark, when it goes off, with the LAMP (LED or something) and point it to your monitor, if you see picture, I believe your monitor lights are out ..

I would suggest to try with another monitor to rule out monitor, after that you should check graphic card, try runing some benchmark tests, .. usually issues are connected with temperatures or bad memory.

Testimonial: "It is not the monitor I'm sure, thanks for the try to help me but I solved the problem. Video card that i mention is two cored, so is running in CrossFire mode, the MB doesn't support this feature and this is why is not starting operating normally. Now I'm about to by MB whit that support and I will post here for every one that have similar question what is happening, whit hope to help fellows."

Probably the cables your are referring to are the front bezel USB and Audio Panel connector .If you do not use front USB port on your cab leave it NC .

SOURCE: T3624 MB someone pulled off the 3 wire pairs to the front bezel. What's the pin out for the 2 leds & power on??

According to the internet, your computer has an Intel 845GV chipset motherboard. Intel tends to use a generic pattern for connecting the front panel connectors. A description can be found on intel's site.
If this doesn't solve your problem, comment back with the motherboard model number. Look on the board, it should be printed somewhere, and it should start with D845GV...something something...

How install with windows 7

The USB streaming driver for the Camcorder is not available for Windows 7 OS from Sony at this point. Hence it is not possible to transfer videos using USB interface. You may use i.LINK or A/V interface to transfer videos from the Camcorder to the Computer which is running on Windows 7 Operating System.

Please follow the steps to transfer video to a computer using an i.LINK connection (IEEE 1394).

IMPORTANT: Video capture software and a compatible video capture card must be installed on the computer. Depending on the computer manufacturer, various video capture cards and software (Adobe Premiere, Roxio Video Wave, Microsoft Windows Movie Maker, etc.) may be available or already installed on your computer. If necessary, contact the manufacturer of your computer for further information.

NOTE: Many Sony VAIO computers are bundled with Sony DVgate Motion or DVgate Plus software for video capturing. Some VAIO computers also include Click To DVD software that will allow video capture to the computer hard drive or directly to a DVD.

  1. Connect an i.LINK cable (also known as IEEE 1394) to the i.LINK port on the digital camcorder.

i.LINK Cable.

i.LINK port.

1_8_2012_11_49_45_pm.jpg

  1. Connect the other end of the i.LINK cable to the computer.

NOTE: The computer i.LINK ports and capture cards may have either 4-pin or 6-pin connections. Sony digital camcorders use i.LINK ports with 4 pins. If your computer only has a 6-pin i.LINK port, then it will be necessary to use a 4-pin to 6-pin i.LINK cable.

  1. Turn on the digital camcorder by moving the POWER switch to the VTR position.
  2. Cue the camcorder tape to the beginning of the video footage.
  3. Turn on the computer.
  4. Start the video capture software on the computer.
  5. Begin playing the recorded video in the camcorder.
  6. Begin importing the video with the capture software.

It should now be possible to copy the video using the video capture software if the computer hardware and software are configured correctly.

I installed a video card based on my motherboard. The problem is that DVI does not work, only VGA. It is possible to run DVI? My motherboard is a Asus P5KPL-AM SE.

hello cristitincu

my name is ausi.

on video cards that have both vga and dvi you should be able to use both. if one (the dvi in your case) does not work and has no display the the card is defective. if the card is still under warranty you need to take it back.

please note in some cases i have seen faulty dvi ports working when you turn the computer on. they show you the system boot screen but loose it all after that.

good luck

hope you find this helpful.

Boot performance monitoring error

>> Tired to reboot several times and still no video.
>> Waited until the next day and the video was working.
>> Very strange.

Sounds like overheating, either inside the monitor, or on the video-card, or inside the computer.

When it happens again, disconnect the data-cable from monitor from the desktop computer, and connect the data-cable to a laptop computer.
If the monitor works, then it's not the monitor that is the problem.

Also, when it happens again, have another monitor, and connect it, to see if the other monitor works, or if the video-card cannot "drive" either monitor.

I have a 2wire 2071 - A modem and it wont read my ethernet cable

First check device manager to see if the copmuter recognizes the card, if it dont use the add hareware app, and have windows plug &play try to locate it. then open the case and remove the card with windows running and replace it in the slot , P&P may then locate it if windows doesnt, then the ethernet card may of had a voltage spike go thru it and fried the card.

I cant get my pc to boot up at all, I switch on and all i get is the led and cpu, chas fan running

Make sure that the moniter is securely plugged in, and the screws at the head of the moniter cable are screwed all the way in.

Also, if you modified or changed the video card of you computer, make sure that the video card is compatible

If you just got you computer, call the manufacturer to get shipped a new one, if yours is still under warranty.

Recover 'lost' flip video

I had success with this camcorder recovery software named asoftech data recovery before

You need to take out the memory card or hard disk from camcorder, and then connect the memory card or hard disk to computer, you can then use asoftech data recovery software to recover lost videos.

My computer comes on but my screen is blank

Hi tytiyana..
i am giving my sugggestions.

Remedies. The remedies below should be performed in order. NOTE:Turn off the computer after each step. Never work inside the computer case with the power turned on.
1. Check and make sure all cables are firmly attached to the back of the computer and to all external devices. Retry.
2. Remove the case cover from the computer. Make sure all cables (hard drive, power cables, other disk cables) inside the computer are firmly attached.
Press down on all ISA and PCI cards and make sure they are firmly seated. Make sure your DRAM memory cards are firmly seated. Feel the top of the CPU and make sure it is not hot (warm is OK). Retry.
3. This step is only for newly built computers that have not successfully booted. Get out your motherboard manual, or download one from the manufacturer's site, and go over all your motherboard jumper settings.
Set the jumpers in the most conservative position. Review all your accessory wire connections (keyboard lock, hard drive access light, etc.) and make sure the connectors to the motherboard are facing the same direction. Retry.
4. Turn the computer back on with the case off. Verify that your CPU and power supply fan are running. If either one is not running you have a problem. If the power supply fan is not running replace the power supply (make sure the power connectors are correctly attached to the motherboard). Make sure the CPU fan is connected to power on the motherboard. If it is correctly connected and still doesn't run, replace it. Retry.
5. Unplug your computer. Remove all PCI and ISA cards. Reinstall the video card and disconnect the hard drive cable. Plug in the keyboard, video cable, and power cable. Restart your computer. If this worked, go to Step 6. If your DOS screen doesn't come up at this point try the following ideas.

a. Closely examine your motherboard and make sure it is not making contact with the computer case, which will short it.
b. Your video card, video cable, or monitor may be malfunctioning. Borrow a video card, cable and monitor, retry.
c. Remove and reinstall your DRAM. If your computer can not find system memory it will not POST.
d. Remove the CPU and reinstall it.
e. Follow your motherboard manual's instructions for resetting your BIOS to its default configuration.
If your computer still will not boot into a DOS screen, seek professional help.

Get pictures and video off phone to the computer

Preparation ? if an external Micro SD external memory card is to be used as the desired music/video/picture repository on the W755, install the card in the W755 behind the battery. Then go to SETTINGS & TOOLS ? MEMORY ? CARD MEMORY ? FORMAT and format the new card. Caution: reformatting the card will wipe out all contents on the SD card. Download/install free Motorolla Handset USB Driver Installer onto the PC (execute ?.msi? file). Download/install free VCast/Rhapsody software (no need to actually sign in or use the proprietary Rhapsody service). Start the VCast/Rhapsody software. Turn on cell phone (works with W755 and may work with other Verizon ?music phones? such as LG Chocolate, but the latter was not tested). Connect phone to PC ? connect USB cable to PC?s USB port first, then connect USB cable to phone . Be patient, it may take a minute to fully ?connect? in the phone?s display. Go to ?Sources? section of VCast/Rhapsody GUI screen ? the phone will register as a directory title using a name roughly like ?VCast xxx.? Windows Explorer will also show a ?VCast? drive/directory device. Files can be selected and dragged to and from source and target directories. At this point various options exist regarding music, picture, video management: 1.) The VCast/Rhapody software can be used to manage music, picture, and videos between the PC and phone. Again, no need to use the VCast service, just the software offline. 2.) Alternatively, other music management software such as Media Monkey (a personal favorite) can be used to move music, create playlists, etc. ? NOTE: Leave VCast/Rhapsody software running in the background as a means to ?connect.? It is best to start VCast, then plug in phone, then start other media management software so that the media management software will benefit from the connection (usually with a directory name using some variation of ?VCast.? Then use the alternative media management software as usual. Please note, this is a generalization based on success using basic software like Media Monkey, for example.
