Re: Printer problem

Hi, Take out the toner and check for a paper jam.turn the printer upside down and check under the paper tray for a jam. When you reset the printer check to see if the printer picks up the paper, if it tries to pick up the paper then the red light flashes you should rough up the roller on the front above the paper tray, the rollers sometimes get smooth and won't pick paper up. You should also look inside where the toner cartridge goes and there are some little plastic flaps.Check that these are not stopping the paper going it. hope this helps

Printer was working the stopped with red light flashing. I have disconnected power waited 1 minute then reconnected to reboot printer but light is still flashing.

Usually a red light means that there is an error. Normally it means that there is a paper jam somewhere in the process. It might even be as small as a torn edge that is setting off the sensor. Make sure that there is paper in the tray, none stuck in the feeder or anywhere else, and that the toner/ink is properly set.

When i hit "print" the

Does the red light blink or stay on sterady?

Issue: The Compact Photo printer power button is blinking red.

Solution: Turn the Compact Photo printer off, then back on again.

"Paper Jam" appears on the digital camera LCD Turn the printer off and disconnect the power cord from the printer. Then reconnect the power cord and power on the printer. If the printer fails to eject the paper, the printer may require service. Contact the Canon Customer Support help desk for assistance.

When you power down I would recommend also unplugging the printer from the power supply (wall outlet). Let it rest 5 - 10 minutes and then plug back in.

The manual says a blinking red power light indicates a problem in the printer, but the only solution provided it to turn off and on.

If there are no paper jams, and no other error messages hoepfully a completr power down will clear the error.

Issue: Printer's power button lights red without the camera's LCD monitor displaying any error message.

There is a malfunction in the printer.

Remove the paper from the paper-handling slot and take up any slack in the ink sheet. Turn the printe's power off and turn it on again.

If none of this helps I would check to see if my driver is current:

How to stop red blinking "paper"? couldn't stop

There is probably a paper jam since you shut it off as it was printing. Turn off the printer. Remove the tray and look inside. Remove any sheets of paper you see. Open the back of the printer (the pass-thru door) and remove any paper you see. Turn on the printer. If that fails, check the blink status against the manual's troubleshooting guide to locate a different solution.

Lots of potentials here.
The corona wire may have become dirty in the jam. That will cause it. Both the front and back door have to be shut. See to it that their respective switches are activated when they are shut. Read your owners manual. It is full of suggestions for this issue.

Two red lights blinking

The flashing red light next to a page and bin indicates paper or a CD/DVD has jammed in the printer.

The flashing red light next to the drop indicates that the ink is low - if it is solid on then the ink is out.

Both of these lights flashing rapidly together means taht the print head carriage is obstructed by jammed paper or some other material and cannot return to the home position. Turn off the printer then open the paper support and the printer cover. Then remove any paper or other obstructions from the paper path by hand / tweezers. Then, turn the printer back on and the fault should clear. If the lights are stioll flashing then check the paper path again and see if the print head carriage assembly is jammed by gently moving it very slightly along the carriage. Don't force this or do this too hard or too far as you can cause some damage to the drive

Blinking green light

Clear the paper jam, or replace the ink cartridge. Possible causes are the paper jam or ink cartridge. The other solution is to disconnect the power from your printer and reconnect it. Hope this helps!

Failure to print

Here's what we did: Lifted the lid and turned off printer. Then turned on again. Unplugged power cable from back of printer, moved the carriage toward the middle of the printer. Took out cartridges and closed the lid. Plugged the power cord back in. Reinstalled the cartridges. After the alignment page it worked fine. These instructions are paraphrased from HP website troubleshooting. I don't have any idea why any of it worked, but it did and I'm grateful.

Brother HL-2030 paper jam

1. Face the back of the printer. You may have to disconnect the cables. Just note their position for later reconnection. Open the rear cover.
2. Lower the forkish cover that is further in the back of the printer. It has a sticker on its left side.
3. There is a "finger" in the middle of the forkish cover that may not be in position. Note that there is on the mid-right side of it a tab, that has to be positioned to go down into the hole.
4. Close both covers and reconnect the wires if necessary.
5. It should now be working BS"D!!!
