Question about Yahoo Mail

1 Answer

I use Vista as the browser on my personal computer. I am not able to see any icons on the new, revised yahoo mail that went into effect last week (October, 2013). Any idea what the problem might be? All works fine with Chrome. However, I prefer using Explorer as I find the graphics are much nicer with that browser. Thank you.

S.yimg.com slows down my email!! What is it???

There are hundreds of quirky problems happening this week on YMail. Many users can not get into their mail at all. This happened in 2007 and 2009 when Yahoo was working on the site. It is not your computer or browser. No one on Google or Bing could explain what s.yimg.com meant. One person said to "refresh the page" when this appears.

See if you can get to your email by clicking on the blue MAIL icon at the top of this page.

If not, try de.mail.yahoo.com since the German server seems to be unaffected.

If that does not work, go to features.mail.yahoo.com and click Try It Now. It is free and you can switch back later. The s.yimg will disappear when Yahoo is done working

Hello tekebp520,
The best thing to do, would be clearing your cache. Go into your internet browser settings and clear the cache and temporary internet files. Restart the browser and try again.
This will download a fresh batch of files which should resolve the issue.
Hope this helps!

I've been using my dad's computer since my is broke and I would like to get yahoo mail without interupting his, how may I do that I have a e-mail address already it's ...

Shannon, generally opening the same website with a login (like Yahoo or Google) multiple times with the same browser is not possible. Usually the website asks if you want to log the first person out and log back in with the 2nd person's username/password.
There are a couple of possible workarounds that you might try that should work.
1) Launch a 2nd instance of the browser. If you use Internet Explorer for example, double click the icon for it again and launch a 2nd instance of it. Then in that 2nd browser try to log into your own yahoo account. That may 'trick' the site into allowing you to log in that way while keeping his mail logged in using the 1st instance of the same browser.
2) Use a 2nd browser. You could also install Google Chrome, Firefox or some other browser on the same computer. Now, first launch Internet Explorer and have him log into his email. Then launch the 2nd browser product and you log into your own email. This usually works as the browser sessions are separate so the websites 'think' they are coming from different computers and allow multiple logins.
Hope this response helps you out.
Best of luck!
I strive for '4 Thumbs Up'! If I've assisted you, I'd greatly appreciate you taking the time to provide me with a favorable rating. Thanks so much!

Yahoo mail not open from last week

Try with a new web browser or if it doesn't work, enter: http://wap.oa.yahoo.com/

Note that as you can see, it's a Yahoo mobile interface but it surely works like magic although there's no way you can logout from it, simply close the browser window whenever you're done reading your emails while you still can't access your mails using the normal site. Pictures are not viewable using the link, only pure texts from the email will appear.

If you are satisfied, please rate or leave a testimonial. Thank you!

Hi , One of my Colleague is unble to open the yahoo mail....Please suggest us..we tried this in two different browsers..but no luck... When we click go after Entered the mail.yahoo.com...it shows...

Once at the yahoo website browser pages is initial mean to attaining accessibility into member account. The computer structures of network connectivety effectivesnes affects the requests that is made from yahoo. For example, faster internet connections either with computer connected to ethernets, wireless broadbands are expected to display results as soon as click buttons were requested. Alternately, dial up phone line network connection require susbstancial amount of time untill the entire stream of media would be displayed on the browser at request. Depending on the type of browser, usuall the least number of logos observed on the interface should equate to effectivesness on browser speed or capacity to display soon after request click buttons. Observe the browser interface of materials either as advertisments, graphics, pictures, videos that display on the network browse. Alread said the browser determines how to arrive on the internet. Second, yahoo mail is another display material website also of several materials that takes away from capacity to display. Both an ineffective browser combines with yahoo sites requesting display of personal mail that is likely overloaded with messages usually takes time to display every details. Usually with dial up phone line internet connected computers, such a request hardly displays any results requiing to power shut to attempt an alternate request. The conditon requires to acquire a more effective internet connectivety either ethernet or broadband wireless high speed to attain newtork effectiveness. At which point, that is the solution how the network media least displays on request on functioning computer structures without an observable malfucntion.

Got conned into trying yahoo mail beta and now i cant work out how to get back to the usable classic version.

There are two versions of Yahoo Mail.
One version is called "Yahoo Mail Classic".The other version is just called "Yahoo Mail" or "All-New Mail". The new version will only work on newer more powerful computers with high speed internet.

To go from Classic to new click on the link in the upper left that says "All-New Mail".

To go from All-New to Classic click on "Switch to Yahoo Mail Classic" under "options"
NOTE: If the options menu does not work use this linkhttp://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/optout?s...

Each of these can be revised at times. There is no way to go back when there is a revision. The only choices are Classic or All-New.
