Question about VDO PM290 Blower Motor

Replaced blower motor in 1997 ford e350 now I have air conditioning but no heat. does it have anything to do with the blower motor?

I would look for a vac. leak of see if the heater coil is stoped up

Check for stuck thermostat. Feel the heater core hoses to see if they are warm.

Dashboard does not light up, blower for ac/heat does not work (I can hear vent move with controls) and high beam does not work.


verify blower motor is good? Blower motor stuck on high? you need a variable resister. A plug in unit near the motor. make sure that you install completely before checking. The resister need the air flow to keep it cool, you will burn a new one out in seconds if it is not installed in the case before checking.

is your heater core hooked up, on most vehicles there are two hose on the left side under the hood that goes thru the fire wall if they are not there then that,s your problem bad heater core.

blower motor location is in the heater box down by the passengers feet the fan relay in out under the hood in the power fuse box check this first
check to see if the blower motor turns you can do this by removing the three screws the motor and squiral cage will come out spin it if it moves freely putit back replace the switch assembly

2003 ford van e350 rear air vent is not blowing


Try this article. I have the same problem and I think it is the vacuum motor that controls the door for changing from hot/cold in the rear heater box (located inside behind the L rear wheel)
