Depends, on where it came from........
If it is a trusted source (you know the sender)

Then do as you may

However if you have any gut feeling telling you not to open it then don't.

Stop Receiving Notifications From Facebook Friend Photo

Many times when you comment on a photo your friend uploaded, and some other may start commenting after you and everytime it receives a comment you get a notification mail in your email inbox or you get notified in facebook.

This can be really annoying for some, you can configure such option on facebook which will stop all these notification in such case when someone comments after you on the same photo.

Control your Digg privacy settings

Like Facebook and many other social networking sites, Digg has several privacy options that (if you don't watch them closely) could allow complete strangers to find out personal information about you. For any web site that you join, it's a good idea to check the privacy settings as soon as your account is created.

When you sign up with Digg, your privacy settings by default are configured so that anyone visiting the site can view your full name, age, gender, and location, and even search for you by your email address. Some users may be okay with giving out all of this information, but many people probably are not (and are likely not even aware that this information has been made public).

To change your privacy settings on Digg, log into your account, go to your profile (click the Profile link along the top) and click the Settings tab under your name. Your basic settings will be listed under Personal Info and Photos, and you can view the Advanced Options by clicking "Show Advanced Options" below the Photos settings.

To make your information as private as possible, choose "Nobody" for each setting -- or, if you want to share some of the information with your friends, you can set it for "My Friends." Look through each of the settings and decide how much of your personal data you want to make public. When you've made all of the changes you want, click the Save Changes button at the bottom to make the changes take effect.

System diagnostic failure, fault alarm 0x0106.. what is the fault? how to fix? batteries are 3 months old

James,

The fault reads as an 'system overload'. You can fix this by resetting the network management card....Try a firmware upgrade, and make sure it's the right version for your card. In the process of this update, it will also reboot the NMC, which is another troubleshooting step you can get out of the way at the same time. A second self-test is also a good idea.

You'll also probably want to re-enable your emails, just disable the "recurring after every 2m" part. Go to: Administration > Notification > Event Actions, by group > Events by Severity, ensure all are selected, Next > E-mail Recipients, Next > select email address, Next > Uncheck the box next to "Repeat at an interval of..." Next > Apply

You can configure this for individual events also under Event by Actions, by event if you DO want to receive repeat email notifications about an event until it clears... like an overload for example.

How can I delete the Facebook search results?

  • 1 Log-in to Facebook using your email address and password.
  • 2 Hover over the "Settings" tab located next to your name in the blue header at the top of the page. When the drop-down menu appears, click on the "Privacy Settings" tab.
  • 3 Click on "Search" to control your privacy settings related to Facebook and search engine searches. An "Important Privacy Announcement" issued by Facebook will pop up before you are brought to the next screen. Click the "Close" button in the lower right-hand corner of the pop-up to exit this message.
  • 4 Change your "Facebook Search Results" settings to "Only Friends" in the drop-down menu.
  • 5 Uncheck the "Allow" box and confirm the selection in the "Public Search Results" section to keep your Facebook profile from appearing in search engine results.

I was told to change my http: to https: now i cant use the chat on fb. how can i change it back to http?

    1. Go to https://www.facebook.com/editaccount.php?settings 2. Click Account Security (below Privacy and above Download Your Information) 3. Uncheck Secure Browsing (https) and click Save. 4. Change the URL from "https://www.." to "http://www.." 5. If it still doesn't work, you might have browser extension installed that redirects to https, like HTTPS Everywhere. Configure it so that facebook is not redirected to https.
