Question about Maytag Centennial Top Load Washer
I would check the solenoid is working and from that it will be obvious where the issue lies.

Easy fix. Lid switch is bad. This is a direct drive machine. Older models would wash but not spin these latest babys won't wash or spin with the lid switch broken. To access te switch you flip up the control by using a putty knife to release each end. Older models had a screw that needed to be removed, not so with the newest ones. The switch has 2 hot wires and a ground wire. Jump them 2 hot wires and see if she runs

Hi May be a plugged Pressure Hose connected to the Water Level Switch in the Control Panel, Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.
other end connects to Tub. Try blowing through the Pressure Tube . This problem is going to be in the water level control or the tube that connects to the control may be partially clogged. if it is partially clogged the tube can retain pressure essentially fooling the water level control into thinking the tub is full. The best thing to do is to take the washer apart and check the tube to see if it is clogged and if not replace the water level control.
