When first driving forward there is a sound of rushing water heard from passenger front firewall area. is there an area that water can be trapped.

Yes there is. When your a/c runs it creates condensation which collects under the evaporator in a small collector, and then drains onto the ground. This is the puddle of water you will see under a parked car if the a/c has been running. If the drains are blocked the water will not drain away and you will hear water sloshing about. If it gets too full, the water will overflow and you will get water onto the front mats and you might get wet feet. You will need to find the drains under the car and clear what ever is blocking them. It is usually road grime and dirt. It might also be the drains at the front of the windscreen are blocked, although this usually wont end up in the car.

Hi, there is a build up of ice around the drain hole in our built-in fridge. how can we cure this?

This will involve removing your drawers and stuff on shelf above drawers . Heat water to temperature suitable for hot coffee or tea, pour the water down trough, clear ice. Pour water down drain until water flows freely .

If if you have one a slightly less messy way to clear a drain line is to use a steamer. It is safe too.

Why water is leaking in freezer where cooling fins are

The defroster coil melts the frost build-up on the coils and the water hits the aluminum plate that guards the plastic drain from he heat of the defrost element, but the drain freezes over because the air temperature and the metal heat shield are still cold enough to freeze the drain. You can cut away a small portion of the metal pan liner and expose the drain to the heater coil while defrosting. I also wrapped a piece of copper 14 guage wire around the heating coil and routed it down the drain to heat it while in defrost. No problems after this fix.

Model et19rkxfw01 water leaking into refrigerator cant locate drain hole

Sorry that I can't confirm model # but I have repaired this problem on many Whirlpool refrigerators. The problem exists in the freezer. The back panel has to be removed to access the evaporator coils. Sometimes ice will hold the panel in place even after 1/4" screws are removed. I used a heat gun to melt the excessive ice & accelerate the procedure. Once rear panel is removed, you should see the ice build-up in the bottom tray (not a normally serviceable area). The drain line is covered by ice & will have to be thawed. I used a heat gun, other people use hot water. I recommend having a small wet vacuum handy in either instance. I also used a hanger to try to clean out the drain line as I went. Once the hanger moves down easily into the orifice, flush w/ a little more hot water. It should be a long time until it happens again.

Fridge is leaking water from the inside, on the back wall

Your freezer drain is clogged or frozen up with ice blockage. Need to remove the freezer floor liner, usually 2-4 1/4" screws holding it in - slide it out. Next slowly pour hot water over ice build up and melt all ice. The drain is under the evaporator coils (small hole near center) this connects to a pan under the refrigerator that then evaporates on its own. I usually place a couple of bowls inside fresh food area on top shelf to catch excess water dripping through ceiling of fresh foods.

Next you will need to attach a heat probe from the heater under the freezer coils and feed it into the drain in order to prevent freezing up again. Use part #819043 heat probe or strip some #14 gauge copper wire and wrap around heater once and place down through drain. Recommend the heat probe 819043 to get it right the first time.

Drum wont turn water wont drain checked pump suspect frost indrain hose inside washer drain pipe seems crunchy

Your probably on the right track,if you can expose the drain pipe to heat to melt frozen portion would be an idea or you could pour hot water back the drain hose(at its outlet) to melt the water in front of it-thats the most obvious thing first anyway, small socks are a nuisance also getting clogged in drain at exit from drum to drain pump

Model #MSB2154GRW water leaking from out of the front of the unit apparently when defrost cycle runs. Suspect blocked or defective evaporator unit. How do I access this to examine the problem?

there is a condensate pan underneath the fridge to catch coil defrost runoff and condensation. it usually gets evaporated from the heat of the high-pressure line off of the compressor. the pan might be full or the tube came out of the pan.

Kenmore upright freezer

You should check the drain hose inside underneath the freezer. This is done at the back down below. Mine was looped too high and water could not get out. I took the loop off that was holding the hose and now water can drain away without freezing. You can pour warm water down the drain hole to melt the ice in the tube if you remove the grate covering it inside the freezer. I have read that several Kenmore upright freezer
owners have the same problem. I was astonished that this was the problem and I had put up with it for too long, defrosting the freezer every 2-3 months!.Give it a try!
