Question about Brother DCP 115C All-In-One InkJet Printer

After installing new ink cartridges and cleaning, the printer would not function anymore. and the windows said it needs troubleshooting and routine maintenance. there is no available technician right away and i needed to use my printer immediately.what will i do?

Try to resat printer

  1. Make sure the machine is not operating, then disconnect all the cables from the machine (except power cable).
  2. Press the Menu or Menu/Set key on the control panel.
  3. Press up or down navigation key to select LAN and press Set or Menu/Set.
  4. Press up or down navigation key to select Factory Reset and press Set or Menu/Set.
  5. Press 1 to select "Reset".
  6. Press 1 to select "Yes".
  7. The machine will re-start, re-connect cables once this is complete.

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.

Won't Print Color Ink

I replaced the color cartridge now it prints only in black and not in color what do I do


Go to the printers maintenance window and do the routine maintenance by letting it go on head cleaning and alignment.The printer software will tell you if the inks is full or not.See if you have properly installed your color cartridge cause any thing in between the cartridge contacts will render your new cartridge undetected. Unmount it then remount it and run diagnostics again.

Unable to clean


Take out the ink and clean on a soft cloth the printhead and then try again to clean. If this doesnt work post to me I will instruct you further what to do

Lexmark X3650 all-in-one Printer, have refilled colour cartridge with inkjet refill kit but still indicates low-ink level, and will not function. Do I need a resetter?


Go to all in one program
at the top left click on Maintain\Troubleshoot
Right window click on Device Status And Ink Levels
that will open a new window
Click on The button that looks like 4 different colored ink drops
Click on Install a new print cartridge
Click on Next
Now you should be in Select The cartridge installed
Open lower drop down window and click on No its new
Follow the prompts from there or click OK
This should fix the problem.

Have new ink cartridges, however when I print a test page, nothing but the windows logo prints


You mean, the black color is completely absent from the printed page? Either the black cartridge is faulty and needs to be cleaned, or (less likely) the cartridge carriage is faulty.

Try running the "Printer Head Cleanup" routine from the printer manager maintenance menu.

If you ran the ink cartridge refill routine, from your desktop using the utility supplied by HP, this should not occur, so try running the head cleaning and alignment routines and see if this clears up the problems.

I am assuming that all your cartridges are relatively full and trouble free and that the printer has been successfully and recently used, prior to your replacement of the one new cartridge.

Sometimes, if the printer has been idle for some time without use, the ink will dry on the heads of perfectly good cartridges, causing the problem you cite.

Use alchohol based cleaner with the kind pads supplied with a new cartridge to regularly clean the heads of your ink cartridges, according to instructions in your manual and CAREFULLY, so as to not damage the heads.

I ran out of ink and did not replace the cartridge for a few week


I'm not too sure if I am understanding correctly, if you did NOT replace the ink (as per your title) you will not get any ink out of the printer, you will need to purchase a new ink cartridge and install it correctly.

However if that was a typo and you did already replace the cartridge, did you replace it with an original or an aftermarket, or even a refill? Also, you can try telling any software on your PC that it has a new cartridge, I'm not too familiar with the Lexmark software, but if there is an ink level monitor you should be able to tell it that you've replaced the cartridge.
