SOURCE: Need new fan motor.

If you are mechanically abled you could remove this motor and go match it to a new one at a local electrical supply house that carries motors. Let me know if you go that route and I can get more detailed for the process.

thank you

SOURCE: The drum on my wf860 is very stiff and difficult to turn I suspect the bearings have gone what is the average cost of replcing bearings by engineer, the machine is about 7 yrs old so it maybe cheaper

I think hotpoint do a set fee all in charge, give them a call to verify, otherwise you are looking at the best part of the cost of a new machine and at 7 years I would recommend a replacement rather than repair. At least you know you have a waarranty, Bosch are offering 4year manu garauntee on selected machines at the moment (in the UK)

Bosch Prio Sander failure

The screeching was indeed the sound of a bearing seizing, however now that the motor is running freely it means the bearing is in fact seized and burned up the plastic that holds orbital mechanism. Its possible to diy, you'll have to open it up to see what damages that bearing created. Hopefully you still have a warranty...

The drill is leaking oil

As my knowledge drills not use oil just grease in the bearings. But if you need to service and the drill is not too old and the repair is not cost too much you can find parts at Hilti Online or by your self using the Hilti Manuals.

Need brushes for an old style hilti te17

Hilti should be able to provide you with them. If not contact a local motor repair outlet and find brushes the same size, they are very easy to change on the TE series.

Failing that Hilti offers a trade-in program for their tools.

Blower fan is seized Kenmore 54501 Dehumidifier?

If the blower motor is siezed up, then you need to replace the motor.
You can have new bearings put in it, but by the time you get thru it will cost you about the same as a new motor and you won't have any warranty on the old motor, you will have at least a one year warranty on the new one.

I have a Hilti TE 905 AVR the service light came on and it stopped working. Is there a troubleshooting guide to fix and reset this. Also, schematics can be found at:...

If you have the old type TE905, which is the one with the square type handle at the back, the service light will come on for 2 reasons. Either there is a tight bearing which will increase the amount of current used to work the machine. Or more common the carbon brushes need replacing. To reset the light, simply cure the problem.

If you have the newer type TE905 with the large “D” Type handle at the back. It gets a bit more complicated. The service light will come on for the same reasons as mentioned above, but it will also come on after 200 hours of use. It will continue to work for another 50 hours with the light on, then it will shut down completely. This is to ensure that it gets regular service. Once serviced or repaired, it will require resetting. To do this you with need a Hilti optical interface, a PC, and Hilti ODA Software. This is not available to the general public. If your Hilti is less Than 2 years old, call Hilti. They will pick it up, repair it, and send it back to you in 3 working days FREE OF CHARGE. If it is older than 2 years there will be a charge for the repairs.
I hope this helped you. Please leave feedback

How to dis-assemble motor housing.

Not outside my category list. Its a Hilti, not Hitachi, right? They are a tad tricky. Best thing is to go to Hilti.com in the tech center. Click Tech Center and then Tool Schematic list rotary/combihammers. Get the breakdown. there should be four screws that detach it from base, hard to see. May need allen wrench, can't remember. The fan comes off the armature, may also need small bearing puller. hope this helps. Please rate me

Drum will not rotate

im confused as to why you think no drum rotation would be caused by bearings. typically worn bearings would cause noisy spin. only if bearings were completely seized would that cause no drum rotation. can you rotate drum by hand? if so bearings are not seized. can you hear motor rotate when you select spin? if not, then likely cause is motor brushes. do these simple tests and get back to me if you want. and bearings are quite difficult to replace on this machine
