### How many gallons in an 88" x 15" x 9" trough?

try this :

Instructions
1. Measure the rectangle length, width and height. For example, 8 inches long, 6 inches wide, 10 inches high.
2. Multiply the length by the height, then double the product. With this example, 8 inches multiplied by 10 inches results in 80 square inches, which multiplied by 2 equals 160 square inches.
3. Multiply the width by the length, then double the product. With this example, 6 inches multiplied by 8 inches equals 48 square inches, which multiplied by 2 equals 96 square inches.
4. Multiply the height by the width, then double the product. With this example, 10 inches multiplied by 6 inches results in 60 square inches, which multiplied by 2 equals 120 square inches.
5. Sum the amounts from Steps 1 through 3 to find the rectangle surface area. So adding 160, 96 and 120 square inches results in 376 square inches.

1 Us gallon is 231 cubic inches

### Invalid implied multiply

An implied multiplication happens when you put two names of variables one after the other without actually entering the multiplication sign (* or cross). The calculator is interpreting this as a multiplication and is telling you it is wrong to do so. I suspect this can happen if you use a variable name made up of two or more letters without first defining the variable. If you use a variable called ax or xa without defining it before it is called, the calculator interprets that as variable a times variable x.

### How do I graph y=18.4cos(2pi/365)(x-196) 5.8? It doesn't show up in the graph on my ti 83 calc

hiArguments are in an invalid order, try multiplying the 5.8 with the other two terms (2pi/365)(x-196) that way yo might be able to graph it.

### How to solve foil method

The FOIL Method is a process used in algebra to multiply two binomials. The lesson on the Distributive Property, explained how to multiply a monomial or a single term such as 7 by a binomial such as (4 + 9x).
But, what if there was a binomial instead of a single term outside of the parentheses? That is, what if a binomial was being multiplied by another binomial? An example of this is given below.

FOIL stands for:
First - Multiply the first term in each set of parentheses Outer - Multiply the outer term in each set of parentheses Inner - Multiply the inner term in each set of parentheses Last - Multiply the last term in each set of parentheses Now let's give it a try in our problem. We'll start by multiplying the first term in each set of parentheses and then marking down the answer below the problem.
Now we will multiply the outer terms and again mark down the answer below the problem.
And the Inners.
And finally the last terms.

### I am getting a message "You may be a victim of software counterfeiting"on my laptop. Also the screen is black and no icons and start menu and shortcut icons are not visible on the screen. Please help me...

Windows validation software (Be it Windows XP to Windows 7) has deemed that the Validation Key (VLK) that was used to install your operating system was not legally obtained. If you think this is in error, you can use the Windows Genuine Validation site to check this. Just click on the Validate Windows button and follow the instructions.

Because the validation software has currently decided that your VLK is invalid, it has disabled many desktop features to make itself more evident. This is why the screen is black, no icons, update doesn't work etc etc.

If the the Windows Validation site determines that the VLK is indeed invalid then you have two options to re-validate Windows. One is legal, the other is NOT.

The harder, potentially frustrating, not recommended and certainly illegal method is detailed at these pages.

### TI 89 when solving equations or integrating a message appears:

With the ALPHA keyboard, Type in the NewProb command and press ]ENTER] It resets the one-letter variables to their default status.
Alternatively, you can use the CATALOG of commands to launch the NewProb command.
Another way is
In HOME directory, press the [2nd][F1] to activate the F6 key. In the menu list, press 1:Clear a-z and ]ENTER].
If you have to use the variable x multiplied by a function (sin, cos, tan, log, etc) do not used implied multiplication: enter the [*] explicitly.

### (5 * 5) -2 +11 + 20+7+5*2=

Simplifying
(5 * 5) + -2 + 11 + 20 + 7 + 5 * 2 = 0

Multiply 5 * 5
(25) + -2 + 11 + 20 + 7 + 5 * 2 = 0
25 + -2 + 11 + 20 + 7 + 5 * 2 = 0

Multiply 5 * 2
25 + -2 + 11 + 20 + 7 + 10 = 0

Combine like terms: 25 + -2 = 23
23 + 11 + 20 + 7 + 10 = 0

Combine like terms: 23 + 11 = 34
34 + 20 + 7 + 10 = 0

Combine like terms: 34 + 20 = 54
54 + 7 + 10 = 0

Combine like terms: 54 + 7 = 61
61 + 10 = 0

Combine like terms: 61 + 10 = 71
71 = 0

Solving
71 = 0

Couldn't find a variable to solve for.

This equation is invalid, the left and right sides are not equal, therefore there is no solution.

### I need help with graphing everytime i try to draw a graph it comes up with this ERR:INVALID DIM what does that mean

It means that your Xmin or Xmax is messed up. it often shows up when you are plotting somethings (histogram for exanple) and you don't have enough X or Y range to fit all the points in it. it also happens when you are multiplying matricies without using the right dimensions. ERR:INVALID DIM just means your dimension is invalid.
