check fluid level --water pump -thermostat-cooling fans

just 2 on all cars, the core has only 2 pipes if you look there.
you need to look on the suzuki parts pages, (only 2 left usa)
why not drive to your dealer and ask them.

so.... why ask us?
if you told where you are location then magic can happen.

can be caused by 50 things.
but mostly ?
1: engine lost compression, (can do that hot only)
2: lost spark
3: over fueling or under fueling
4: lost electrical power (12v) to the EFI system.
5: overheated engine.? over 200F?

clanking, sounds to me (no pun) is pinging. (detonation.)
this can be a lean fuel mix. on a hot engine.

try using a scan tool OBD2 (no year stated above...????)_
and see if there are DTC thrown as it fails.
or before.

have the fault codes read and replace faulty items.

Ask an Alignment Shop to look up the specs

Hi.
I'm not sure if it's the same, but I had a recent similar problem with my Liana 1.3 (2002).
The engine just went crazy sometimes, specially when the air was hotter (in Portugal, about 35ºC), and the engine rpm display going from zero to 2000 and back many times.
Went to Suzuki workshop and they had to replace the crankshaft (canbota) position sensor, which took me about 230 euros, with diagnosis and mans work.

Try replacing first your ignition coil.

Not sure if you have already figured this out- or just sold your car, but I have been having the same problem and had a bit of a search around forums etc. Looks like it is the Crank Angle Sensor which needs to be replaced. I am about to go and get my car fixed so fingers crossed this is the miracle cure. Here is a link to the forum discussion on the issue.

Have you checked all fuses for the cooling fans? Seems to be that the car is warming up to temp and then some, and protecting itself from overheating by shutting down the engine.
