How do I remove the clutch cover from a Ryobi chainsaw?

There are two nuts that hold the clutch cover and chain bar in place. The same nuts you would loosen to adjust the chain tension. Once those are taken off the cover, bar and chain can be removed.

My Ryobi 10532 chainsaw chain will not turn. The chain lock is off, it is a new chain. I replaced the old chain as it caught in a stump and stopped turning

pull the chain clutch back towards the handle
it is not a chain lock but a clutch release that stops the chain from turning
pulling it back engages the clutch to drive it

Clutch adjustment on ryobi reciprocating saw # rj160v

The Ryobi RJ160V does not have a clutch, it has a direct drive system: the armature has a gear pressed on the end of it that turns a bevel gear with an off-set pin on it. This pin fits into a slot on the end of the saw bar assembly which is what you attach the blade to. If you have slipping it could be stripped armature gear teeth or bevel gear teeth or both or the pin on the bevel gear is broke off.

How do I remove the clutch rotor assembly on a ryobi 720r?

I have the same model, I inserted a large screwdriver on the inside to stop the rotor assembly from spinning, then I used a pipe wrench (but channel lock pliers would probably work better) and then w/o much effort, I easily turned the wrench counter clockwise to loosen.

My ryobi chainsaw rcs 2040 keeps stopping but motor is still running, chain not moving!

RYOBI----- with the motor running at high revs the chain stops indicates that the sprocket behind the centrifugal clutch is worn out or the centrifugal clutch itself ,or the clutch shoes are worn out the way to tell is to remove the bar and chain and have alook where the chain was conected to the saw, i think you will see the sprocket is buggered and as that is attatched to the clutch drum that will have to be replaced along with clutch springs and shoes, i think you have been running the chain a bit too loose or not running it at realy high revs ,which is what they are designed to do ,cme back to me if you feel the need
