Need help with a Kodak Personal scanner

Kodak is passing the buck. You would think that they could provide a calibration card for their own scanner.

I installed Scan2Mac n my iMac. Mac recognizes Scanner and I can read SD card. When I select Scan to Mac - and scan - it saves to SD card and not Mac. I reinstalled and same thing happens

Are you running OSX Lion? If so, that may be the issue.
I have 2 MacBook Pros, one running Lion, one Snow Leopard.
The Scan2Mac software works fine on the Snow Leopard machine - takes only a few seconds to create image in a MBP directory.
It does not work at all on the Lion machine. Worse, the scans to the memory card take up to 2 minutes, before the scanner will process another photo.
I installed the Scan2Mac app on both machines from the same dmg.
The Pandigital website offers no updates to the software, which was created in 2009.

My scanshell 800 DXN has started scanning lines over the card image almost like there's something on the scanner eye. Is there a way to clean it?

I am very familar with the scanshell scanner you have I have repaired several of them in the past.

There really isnt anything that wrong with your scanner it just needs to be calibrated. When you purchased it there was a calibration sheet included in the box that you need to use I hope you still have it. If not go here to purchase some new sheets They used to be free but when I looked at there web page they are not listed any longer. Also here is a link to a 800 manual which describes how to run the calibration process This will correct your problem and your scanner will be as good as new again.

I hope this helps you out and if it does please leave me some feedback.

Pandigital mini photo scanner pictures have white lines on them

have a pandigital scanner that worked great for about 500 pics then lines stared to show up, tried cleaning and calibrating but did not help, decided to take apart and found that the glass on the surface of the scan part was dirty, cleaned the glass and put back together works perfect, took about 10 minutes to fix
