Question about Whirlpool Cabrio HE 4.5 cu. ft. Washer

Open Question

Wtw6700tw1 My whirlpool Cabrio WTW6700TW1 has water coming from under the front left corner. After lifting the top up you can see that water has splashed in the inside of the front of the machine and runs down on the floor. I do not see any leaks on the tubes going to the dispensers or cracks. Can the rods that let the tub move around cause the tub to be out of alignment so that when the water going through the dispenser it could possibly not meet up with the inner ring around the tub and splash over? The first Cabrio I had the tub was too far back and after 3 attempts of repairman trying to fix the machine, Whirlpool finally replace the machine. The first machine had the same problem with water splashing over and running down the inside on the front left corner. When you look at the tub ring while not in use it does not look in line with the opening, but further towards the back of the tub. That's why I am wondering if it's the rods making the tub out of alignment.

SOURCE: Water splash sheild ineffective

My machine may be a different model, but seems to have similar problems. I resolved this by: a) making sure the splash shield is fastened correctly at all points round the tub (it worked loose) b) as a temporary fix reversed the foam gasket inside the splashshield until I get a new one

SOURCE: leaking from the dispenser

Try to pull out your dispenser drawer gently to clean out thoroughy. If you cant succeed, use a tooth brush, see that the brush does not fall in. Probably you have dried powder blocking the passage, nothing else.

SOURCE: water leaks

If there is water leaking from under the washer, then you have a water leak from one of your water hoses. Check the back of the washer, where the water comes into the washer, to see if its leaking water or the hose is cracked. If its leaking water from the intake hose, then unscrew the hose and check the rubber washer, to see if it needs reolaced. Sometimes those rubber washers get cracked or broken. If that doesn't help, unplug your washer from the power cord and unscrew your intake water hoses and flip the washer gently on it's side and check the water hoses under the washer for leaks or cracks. Replace the hoses if cracked. Your local hardware store should have replacement hoses. This should solve your problem, but if not, then you need to call a washer repair person to look at it. I hope this helps.:)

Whirlpool cabrio WTW6700TW1 only fills little bit, won't turn or agitate, buzz sound/humming noise, code F51 flashes??

The F51 error is a RPS (rotary position sensor) board failure where the control board looses contact with the RPS during the machines operation. The RPS uses hall effect sensors to determine the speed and direction of the drive motor, allowing the control board to constantly monitor the motors operation. Because this error is a communication error and not a mechanical error with the motor itself (that would be and F52 error) we can limit our trouble shooting to the three items that make up the RPS circuit, the control board, the wiring harness, and the RPS itself.

Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6700TW1 that is making a banging noise

The Cabrio unfortunately has many problems. Your problem however is the four suspension rods. If you know someone who is handy it's not that bad to do yourself. Just need a little patience. There are two clips just between the top panel and the front panel. Use a screw driver and a flashlight to see the clips. Then using the screw driver, push in on the clips to lift the entire top panel. This can be difficult. Once open you should be able to see the four rods that support the tub. That's what you need. Hope this helps...
