Well you may have just got the psu wet and you would need to let this thing dry out big time and I mean even taking a blow dry to it also taking it apart if it got into the contrller board of the hard drive and you did not plug it in let it dry, I hope this works for you.

Which dog bowl should I buy in order to keep the feeding area clean?

You should pick the elevated dog bowl for cleaner feeding area. You clean the surface of the feeder table rather than the floor. In addition, the elevated dog bowl can minimize the behavior of dogs that like to splash in their water bowls.

How often should I clean my dog's bowl?

You should clean your dog's bowl at least once per day if it's on a dry food diet. If your dog eats wet/raw food, you should clean its bowl after every meal. This way it will always be clean and you'll be able to prevent the build-up of bacteria. You can either clean the bowl with hot water and soap or throw it in the dish washer if it's possible.

My dog has a plastic dog bowl and I find that the water in it goes a funny color

Plastic dog bowls are quite cheap however I wouldn't recommend using them. Plastic absorbs toxins and this could cause health problems for your dog. Also dogs are natural chewers and they will more than likely chew a plastic bowl when left to their own devises. I would invest a bit more money on a metal dish, they are clean, long lasting, indestructible and safe.

My dog pushes his dog bowls around the floor and it makes a horrid noise, scratches my tiled floor and the water sometimes spills

I bought my dog a bowl with a rubber ring around the bottom a bit like this one http://www.petstore.com/Loving_Pets_Corp._Silver_Bullet_Stainless_Steel_Dish_Dog_Bowls_Stands-Loving_Pets_Corp.-PE07262-DGBFBS-vi.html. This not only solves the problem of the noise and scratches it also prevented my dog from being able to move it very far.

If water got inside and you tried to turn it on, you risk frying the circuits. Bury the camera in a bowl of uncooked rice for a week, keep your fingers crossed, and try to turn it on.

Drying a camera involves burying it in a bowl of dry rice for a week before even attempting to turn it on. However, your camera was exposed to so much water, there may be no hope for it.
