Rule one: Get your mailbox always set up outside user profiles. (Documents and settings)
When asked to compress say no, before you backed up that directory. After compressing check all folders.
Everybody is at risk with reinstallling windows.
Recovery point made earlier does not make sense.
Get a nice USB stick to backup your mail.
Al those recovery utilities are not what you are looking for.
There is a product from India that does a lowlevel search for outlook files damaged. Takes a long and very partial result.
Now if you are lucky. Try to change your present default email folder under options to another one you might find with a good file search. Look for any .dbx files on your PC elsewhere (undamaged). Beware of dubious repair utilities (Back-up first)

/Since she installed office there is no recover solution and microsoft knows this nd this is why they tell us to back up you important files because it takes outlook express and totaly wipes it out otherwise they would conflict. If you have saved them on the server witch can be done they can be retrieved otherwise what will need to be done would to recover using the windows restore you can back this back to a date that she did not install it and chances are it will be there. I would need to know what operating system you got first to guide you on how this is to be done. Thanks
okay the restore i am talking about brings u back a month of information that was good on the disk it goes by months depending how it was set prior. if you reformatted that type of restore your talking about having to go and have your hard disk fished for the information that can get costly some companies charge per MB but if you did not format you should still be great. let me know what you did exactly.

Hello! Outlook express no more supported by Microsoft and it's not included in latest OS Windows 7. Instead you can download free Windows Live Mail it is kept up to date.

In windows vista there is no outlook express, instead you will get windows mail. you can see that in programs. if its not there you can download it from microsoft site and install it. Its totally free. You can configure this as outlook express and use ..

I think your using outlook Express...... then the mails will be in the defult location document and setting > you Profile( ur loginname) folder >local setting > application data > microsoft > Express folder check there
if you r using Ms Outlook then ........ you will find allyour mails in this location for sure document and setting > you Profile( ur loginname) folder >local setting > application data > microsoft > Ms outlook
