Question about HP dc7700 PC Desktop
Have a dc7600 monitor is fine. But just got a dc7700. Hooked up everything. Load XP. Bootup. XP Screen appears then Screen goes blank then this icon floats on the screen (monitor not supported). Run restore and diagnostics screen is fine. Reboot XP screen appears then goes away icon comes back monitor not supported, you hear XP in the back ground but no sceen. Went back to my dc7600. Any thoughts on this issue.
Well the monitor not being support is not the issue. the issue is the video card cannot produce a signal that is supported for the monitor. Its doing this to let you know also to lower your resolution because the monitor will pop if the resolutions is to high. the monitor itself does not matter if you had Vista as lond as the monitor agree with the signal your cool if it don't it will do this. Try lowing the res using another monitor then put the orginal back on and you should be good.
