Question about Panasonic PV-C2541 25 in. TV/VCR Combo

2 Answers

Antenna/cable socket I have a Panasonic pv-c2541 TV set and I accidentally broke the antenna socket (screw-like part) where the antena or the cable screws into the back of the set. That part broke because every time the channel reception would go out, I would slightly tilt that socket and it would work for some time. Can the channel receptor (whole part with the screw part) be replaced/repaired?

How do i hook it up to my tv

The simplest way is to connect the screw on connector marked Output on the back of the VCR to the screw on connector marked antenna or cable input on the back of the TV. There will be either a switch or menu item on the VCR where you chose to have it output on channel 3 or 4. Chose which you prefer and then tune the TV to that channel.

May be fatal---most likely a cracked circuit board or damage internal to the picture tube.

Antenna broke

Open up your trunk. Remove the felt cover. Check near the antena motor, there should be a socket that can be unplugged so that your antena does not continue to run.

Antena inputs are not receiving the cable signals. Its a panasonic projection tv

Try running the antenna or cable through a vcr and then hook the VCR to one of the video input of the TV (use yellow red and white out of VCR to TV) Try changing channels with the VCR.
I don't know if your on cable satelite or antenna.

I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO HOOK THE VCR UP TO THE TV SET. i LOST MY MANUAL I have PV-V4521

If you are using an antenna put your antenna connector into the rear of the VCR & then using a connecting cable (RF flylead), take this fron the other socket at the rear of the VCR & connect this to the antenna connector on the TV, you will then have to tune the TV to the VCR. Select channel zero for example on the TV, insert & play a tape, & then tune the TV in until it picks up the video playback picture then store this channel on the TV settings. Alternatly, do as above only use a Scart cable & connect this from the rear of the VCR to the AV connection on the rear of the TV, then when you wish to use the VCR channel, select the AV option on the TV.

Hi, when in June there will be thr passage to digital I'll can countinue to use this tv or I need a converter? Thanks Maria

According to Panasonic this set is not capable of receiving digital signals, therefore will require a converter box.

You can get a coupon from the government for $40.00 towards the purchase of this box at the following address.
https://www.dtv2009.gov/

You will need an antenna that is capable of receiving UHF signals. Not rabbit ears, but the loop type of antenna that sometimes comes with rabbit ears.

I always encourage everyone to get the coupons from the government, because they are free and you can request two per household. (That’s $80.00)

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

I only Get Channel 3 and a blank screen that says LINE

Under the menu setup, set it to cable (not "air")and do the search again. If there is a button on your remote that says input, push that first before trying this. Might save you some unneeded steps. Good luck.
