Kink in the wire. Or the rollers are to tight.

Lincoln hd 140 barely sparks

Try switching the a,b,c,d back and forth a couple of times a corrosion builds up and causes a week contact so there isn't enough voltage to work . This has happened to me a couple of times . The first time the fan was running and I had no wire feed action and then a local repair guy told me that corrosion is very common with the portable Lincolns . You shouldn't even have to take it apart to clean it just switch it back and fourth and that does the trick. Good luck.

I have a lincoln sp-175plus, when trying to weld it the arc just melts the wire and it balls up at the end. I also put a new contact tip in. As well sometimes the wire feed just stops. I then press...

Your drive tension is too light. There are rollers that the wire feeds through and they need to be tightened. They should push the wire through the gun but slip if you put the tip against a solid object and pull the trigger. If they do not slip, they will jam your gun. Give the tensioner another turn.

Im looking into getting a mig and have come across the century (by lincoln) welders for 299. is this a quality welder and of same quality as a Lincoln brand.

No, it's not going to be equal to the Lincoln in all ways- but if Lincoln built it it'll be a decent machine.

In all honesty, if you can only have one welder it should be a stick welder. Mig welders are full of problems and, while ideally suited to 8 hour a day 7 days a week use, can be finicky as heck when used infrequently.

The stick welder allows you to work in all positions and all conditions, it's generally cheaper than Mig welding and it's usually faster.

I have a lincon 3200 hd. it stoped feeding the wire when i was welding. but it feeds when i pull the triger, till i try to weld again

These welders have thermal breakers in them so if they get to hott the will automatically stop feeding the wire but the fan will remain on, try changing the breaker i think its in the door where the spool is held. good luck]

Century mig welder. The wire speed is spinning at max speed as soon as the machine is turned ON. Will only stop when machine is OFF.

My Century 225 mig has lost its power ...with adjustments to max it leaves a high weld deposit and low penertration.

What is the fix ?

Wire doesn't feed

Either the trigger mechanism in the gun is bad, the servo that turns the feed wheel is bad, or you have too much tension on the adjustable tensioner knob. Take the wire out of the feed wheel, plug unit in and see if you can get the wheel to turn. If not, it is the trigger or the servo. If it turns, the tensioner was too tight.

No wire feed

If the power to the unit/fan is on and the relay clicks the fuse is not the problem. Check your motor connections. Either you have a bad motor/wiring to motor or motor speed control board.
