Just a guess, if you can take the cover off that has the buttons on it, be gentle and see if the ribbon cable has come loose. Philips had the same problem with one model of theirs.

Why will my mitsubishi lvp x300 projector only project a blue screen when I turn it on?

Blue is probably the default "no signal" screen. It means that the projector is getting no signal.

Mitsubishi lvp-s290u turns on and works for about an hour then turns off

Give it a good cleaning while off with canned air. Be sure to clean filter if it has one. Do not spin the fans too fast or they will lock up.

Cooling fan for lamp does not activate.

This is a very serious problem, and needs to be addressed by a service professional. If the fan does not operate it will allow the heat from the bulb to be trapped inside the projector. Often times this can result in catastrophic bulb failure (i.e possible explosion).

I was in a church where this was allowed to happen on a projector that was suspended from the ceiling and shards of glass reined down onto the chairs below and melted through the fabric.

Projector will not project light (Mitsubishi LVP-X80U) LCD Proje.

Hello toma_leonard,

First check your lamp to make sure it is seated properly in the socket.
Then check all of your interlocks (see your manual for locations), these are usually located on any hatches or doors that allow access to the lamp and or fan area. Once you check your interlocks make sure the filter and fan area is clear of dust, (some projectors have air flow sensors), and the recheck the interlocks. Once this is done , If the interlocks are not broken, or the lamp fuse blown, the projector should be working. If not it is the lamp that needs changing.

I know this may be expensive, however these lamps do go bad, as much as we wish they would not.

If you still feel it is not the lamp, have a technician check the voltage levels to the lamp and the levels of the control board circuitry.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,

Shuttle83

LVP-X3004 Mitsubishi Projector

Problem could be a fan problem or heat sensor or power ballast. Or at a board level a circuit board component failure - IC, capacitor etc Best to have it serviced by an authorised repair shop for Mitsubishi projectors. Regards Kevin Andreassend http://www.iceav.co.nz iceavtech@gmail.com
