Re: bios settings

?manual? when you go into your BIOS at the bottom of all generic BOIS consoles, there are F1 - F12 options. one of these will be: restore to failsafe settings" and the other "optimized settings" the rest you can tweak manually. as far as a manual goes you must be referring to the motherboards manual, and it only touches on BIOS and CMOS settings. good luck.

Asus desktop bios pass

Hello a bios password is fairly easy to come buy.

Open the case, and locate the cmos battery on the mainboard:

Remove the battery for like 20 min, and insert the battery again.
This will clear the bios password.

But you have to setup the whole bios, boot setings, clock, date, etc, before the pc can run again.

Visit asus here:!Downloads/c1wax

And enter the mainboard number, or use auto detect to find the mainboard.

This is for downloading the manual, if in doubt setting up the bios.

Good luck

Hello here is the homepage:

Open the case of the pc and reset the bios to factory settings by removeing the cmos battery on the mainboard for like 10 min.
This will clear the password so you can enter the pc on the normal way.

You just have to set up the clock and the boot settings for the harddrive when the job is done.

Here is some video from youtube that shows how:

Download also the manual and take antistatic precautions.

Good luck

Como jumpear la placa

Installing a motherboard without the installation manual provided by the manufacturer is a difficult job even for trained PC technicians. You must accept all the default settings of motherboard straps (jumpers), and you have to search for the pins to connect the Power LED, Power Switch, HDD LED and Reset wires to. Also, you do not have ANY information on how to set the parameters in BIOS SETUP once you get the PC powered up - unless you have experience with this particular board, you have to accept the manufacturer's default settings.
Accordingly, I suggest that you make every effort possible to obtain the installation manual or have a PC technician install the board for you.
Sometimes these manuals can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website and sometimes they are on the driver CD that was provided with the motherboard.

I am facing a problem to install my XFX Radeon HD 4350 1GB graphics card. My PC has a intel DG31PR with core 2 duo and 3 gb ddr2 RAM. the CPU starts but there is no visual on my ACER monitor. I have...

It sounds like you need to change a BIOS setting. I don't have this MoBo, but on others there is a toggle to make the integrated graphics primary or secondary. You would need to change it to secondary. On this card this should happen automatically - so check BIOS settings and that your new card is properly seated in the slot.

Installing External Graphics Cards
If you want to install a 3rd party external graphics card instead of using the onboard graphics, follow these steps:
  1. Install the 3rd party external graphics card, following the installation instructions that come with the card.
  2. Integrated graphics is automatically turned off.

Cannot open bios set up forgot bios password

Reset the motherboard BIOS. To do this:
1. Open your computer casing where the motherboard lies in.
2. Look for the BIOS jumper settings. It should be near the battery.
3. And there reset the bios settings. (To do this, refer to your motherboard manual.)
4. Once already done. Close the casing and power up your computer.
See how it works.:-)

I have a HP G6000 lap top & need a bios password / reset?

google for remove bios paswoord
Resetting the BIOS Password using Software Every system must store the BIOS password information somewhere. If you are able to access the machine after it has been booted successfully, you may be able to view the BIOS password. You must know the memory address where the BIOS password is stored, and the format in which the BIOS password is stored. Or, you must have a program that knows these things.
You can write your own program to read the BIOS password from the CMOS memory on a PC by writing the address of the byte of CMOS memory that you wish to read in port 0x370, and then reading the contents of port 0x371.
!BIOS will recover the BIOS password for most common BIOS versions, including IBM, American Megatrends Inc, Award and Phoenix.
CmosPwd will recover the BIOS password for the following BIOS versions:
  • AMI WinBIOS 2.5
  • Award 4.5x/4.6x/6.0
  • Compaq (1992)
  • Compaq (New version)
  • IBM (PS/2, Activa, Thinkpad)
  • Packard Bell
  • Phoenix 1.00.09.AC0 (1994), a486 1.03, 1.04, 1.10 A03, 4.05 rev 1.02.943, 4.06 rev 1.13.1107

Default password of bios

There is no "default password" - if a BIOS password is set, you'll have to clear it manually. Here is a link to the Intel supported way of clearing the BIOS passwords on a desktop board. Good luck!
